- After a whole week of exploring, learning and creating videos, it was time for a kind of lazy Sunday. A Sunday how many residents from Warsaw would spend it: in one of the most beautiful city parks in Poland. Łazienki park has many treasures. There were a lot of things going on because of the 70 year anniversary of Old Town. People were relaxing and enjoying. And it got very special when we listened for 1 hour to the Chopin music with hundreds of other people. I have never felt so calm in a crowd. Feeling how Chopin put all his love for Poland and the culture in his music. And every person was listening so carefully. A moment I will never forget!
I was invited to come here and stay and explore the rest of the week. It's so special when one of my RUclips subscribers hosts me and shows me around. This week in Warsaw will be very special and filled with A LOT of beautiful places and moments in and around the capital of Poland. Please come with us 🇵🇱🥰

Fryderyk Chopin and his music is one of our most important polish treasures.
Looks like Warsaw is taking over what Paris used to be.
Dzięki Tobie doceniam kraj w którym żyję.Dziękuję Ci za to jaka jesteś.
Bardzo dziękuję 🤗
Polish side seeing makes me very melancholic in a good way, makes you want to stop and appreciate the beauty the world has to offer.
Yes, dokładnie!!
The wooden houses are Finnish houses brought just after World War II as a temporary residence for the engineers and architects who were rebuilding the city.
Nie było wiewiórek i pawi w Łazienkach? Wycieczka do powtorki!😉🤔😁
Good job Nynke😊YNWA❤😊
Thank you so much, also for your support ❤️
70th anniversary of Old Town. We have quite new Old Town.😢
Yes and the most impressive thing for me is that 70 years ago only the first small part was finished and then it took many years more to rebuild the rest. Even now they are still rebuilding. It's symbolic for Poland's strength🇵🇱♥️
@@thewritingtraveler I remember, when the Royal Castle was opened for ppl. A long line, only walls inside, but it was! I was 5 or 6 only. It was in the middle of the 70th..and gardens were opened only few years ago.
Wow indeed...
Beautiful vlog with Chopin music in the backround👍👏🌞😊

'Znów chodzę po tych samych pokojach,
Przystaję przed alkową,
Przed obrazami,
Rękopisami,
A potem krążę po parku
I szukam wierzb nad Utratą.
Ziemia twojej muzyki.
A muzyka?
Nie wyobrażam sobie bez niej Polski,
Fryderyku.'
'I'm walking through the same rooms again
I stop in front of the alcove,
In front of the paintings,
Manuscripts,
And then I walk around the park
And I'm looking for willows by the Utrata River.
The land of your music.
And the music?
I can't imagine Poland without it,
Frédéric.'
/Roman Brandstaetter 'Żelazowa Wola*'/
(*Żelazowa Wola - a village in Sochaczew County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland, 46 km west of Warsaw; birthplace of Frédéric Chopin; the manor house in which Chopin was born and the surrounding park are major tourist attractions there; in summer, concerts of Chopin's music are performed by pianists from all over the world who play inside the house for the audience seated outside)
Nynke, Chopin and his music are our national sanctity. As the poet put it, hardly anyone can imagine Poland without Chopin's music. I personally certainly cannot. To me and to most of the people you saw at the Chopin's Monument in Łazienki Park, listening to Chopin's music is an incredibly intense experience, almost mystical. This IMHO explains the feeling of tranquility, love and delight that you felt while you were sitting inside this big crowd and listening with them to the enchanted Chopin tunes.
Ah, now that I mentioned the word 'enchanted', the following poem may better explain to you the nature of this experience and of what you felt (refer to the comment below):
'Chcę Ci bajkę opowiedzieć
ze wszystkich najprawdziwszą, kochanie -
o pewnym chłopcu i przyjacielu jego
zaczarowanym fortepianie.
Właściwie był zupełnie zwyczajny
ten fortepian, o którym mowa,
dopóki go ów chłopiec genialny
swymi palcami nie zaczarował.
Fortepian stał w dworku małym
na Mazowszu wśród drzew i ciszy -
Ręce pani Chopinowej na nim grały
lekko dotykając klawiszy.
Mały Frycek słuchał grania, a gdy podrósł
zaklął w klawisze śpiew -
Wschody słońca, gwiazdy, szum boru,
krople deszczu, rozmowy drzew.
I fujarkę zaklął pastuszą,
wiatr jesienny i świerszczy granie.
I marzenie, i serce, i duszę,
i tęsknotę, i uśmiech i łkanie.
Wieczorami, gdy mrok zapadł
nad Mazowszem lasów i pól,
Chopin białym klawiszom opowiadał
całą Polskę i cały ból.
Fortepian grał zaczarowany
i melodie w świat wielki szły,
wyciskając z oczu zasłuchanych
łzy.'
'I want to tell you a fairy tale
the truest of all, my love -
about a certain boy and his friend
enchanted piano.
In fact it was perfectly common
that piano of which I speak,
until that genius boy
charmed it with his fingertips.
The piano stood in a small mansion
in Masovia among silence and trees -
Mrs Chopin's hands played it
touching the keys with ease.
Little Frycek listened and when he grew up
he cast a spell on the keys -
Sunrises, stars, the forest rustling,
raindrops and talk of the trees.
And he charmed the flute of a shepherd,
autumn wind and crickets' chirp.
And a dream, and a heart, and a soul,
and longing, and smile, and weep.
In the evenings when darkness fell
over the Masovian plain,
Chopin was telling the white keys
all of Poland and all the pain.
The piano played enchanted
and melodies spread in the air,
squeezing from the eyes of the listeners
tears.'
/Jerzy Zajączkowski 'Zaczarowany fortepian' -> 'Enchanted Piano'/
Uściski Ninko. 🍀🥰🤗
Try Żelazowa Wola Park where piano concerts take place too.

In the old times one could walk freely over the area of the Polish Parliament, without even being questioned by the police. But, in recent years it has been turned into a fortress, off-limits for ordinary citizens. Btw - the pianist is "only" 25 years old? Chopin first played the piano in public when he was 8. ;)
I see you have passed through Jazdow; have you red the History of it ? it's just fascinating ! Warsaw, my favourite City....
Ohhh can you maybe tell me more about it? 🤗 Warsaw is great indeed!!
@@thewritingtraveler Jazdów lies within the administrative borders of the present city and is the oldest settlement after the stronghold in Bródno. It was probably built at the beginning of the 13th century. Jazdów guarded the trading settlement of Solec (12th century), where there was a local Vistula crossing to the village of Kamion (already existing in 1065, today's Kamionek). The village of Mokotowo (now Mokotów) provided him with economic facilities. In the mid-16th century, a large wooden manor house for Queen Bona was built in Jazdów, which later became the suburban residence of her daughter, Anna Jagiellonka, and Stefan Batory(King of Poland). It was probably also the temporary seat of Sigismund III Vasa at the time when the Royal Castle in Warsaw was being rebuilt. At the court in Jazdów, the first performance of Jan Kochanowski's tragedy, Dismissal of Greek envoys(Odprawa posłów greckich), took place (January 12, 1578). This event graced the wedding ceremony of Jan Zamoyski and Krystyna Radziwiłłówna, which was also attended by the royal couple Stefan Batory and Anna Jagiellonka. Sigismund III Vasa built the brick Ujazdowski Castle in its place (1624). The current estate of wooden houses is a post-war creation. The light, foldable wooden houses in the colony came from war reparations that Finland was forced to pay to the Soviet Union after World War II. They were part of the Soviet Union's first aid package to the destroyed city. Warsaw received 407 houses as a gift in March 1945. Assembly of the houses began on March 24, 1945. The housing estate with 90 Finnish houses was built for housing for employees of the Capital Reconstruction Office (BOS). It was built on the Vistula escarpment in the area of the Ujazdowski Hospital (destroyed in 1944), between the Sejm complex(Polish parliament), the park and the Ujazdowski Castle. The urban layout of the Jazdów housing estate was included in the municipal register of monuments in April 2017.
Bardzo dobrze spędzony czas w fajnej atmosferze, pozdrawiam ❤🌹👍
Tak, dziękuję 🤗 pozdrawiam 🥰
To aż Nina musi ci pokazać w jak pięknym kraju żyjesz? To dopiero tragedia... Chociaż nigdy nie jest za późno... Ja cały czas walczę z niewiernymi Tomaszami nawet we własnej rodzinie... Sorry koment wyżej
Osiedle Jazdów: wiejska enklawa w centrum Warszawy look at this; you can find a lot of articles about Jazdow; unique site, no comparable to any other one ! there is actually also an association to promote the polish culture or folklore, with many events....look yourself and you'll find it 🙂
Ahhh thank you so much!!
Tak, ciekawe miejsce, które władze miasta chcą wyburzyć - oby im die to nie udało.
Wonderful series. Does Warsaw have different vibes from Krakow in your opinion?
Great question ❤
That is indeed a great question. I will save it and answer it in one of my overall videos about Warsaw this week 🤗🤗
Nynke talk to your guide while you are in Warsaw and go to Sulejówek to Jozef Piłsudski museum. it is worth it, currently the largest and best museum in poland, when i was there to visit it i needed 6 hours and still felt unsatisfied.
Ahhh next time for sure!

Lovely! Thanks!
Thank you too!
