Park Jisung is a legend. He was on the smaller side as a footballer in Korea and didnt get picked up by a team when he finished college and went to a 2nd tier Japanese team where he won the Cup there beating all the top JLeague teams. Its the only silverware the team had and has won in its history. He got noticed by Hiddink and was part of the 2002 World Cup team scoring against Portugal in Korea's semi run. Went to Eredivisie in Netherlands where he was racially abused but ended up becoming a monstrous player winning multiple times including Champions league semi run. Picked up by Manchester United by Ferguson where he won multiple trophies invludung Champions League. He also scored in 3 consecutive World Cups. Dude also speaks Japanese, English and some Dutch. Absolute baller.

The reason why the last name is like "first" name in Korea is because how common last names are.
For instance, in a room of 100 people, like almost half of their last names are "Kim", the other "Lee" or "Park", etc
In the US, first names are common while last names (family surnames) are pretty unique.
