When Special Ed came out in '89, nobody sounded like him and he sounded like nobody else. His lyric game was airtight. Must've had 4 or 5 tracks from his 'Youngest In Charge' album on Hip-Hop radio shows playing hard from '89 to '90. Videos got lots of love on Rap City and Yo! MTV Raps.
SPECIAL ED!!!! WOW..." I'M NOT A PUERTO RICAN BUT I SPEAK IT SO THAT YOU KNOW" LOL...I LOVED THIS LINE. BEING HALF BLACK N HALF PUERTO RICAN...YA TU SABES!!! YOU ALREADY KNOW!!
Daz quoted " I'm not Special Ed but I Got it made " I Don't Like To Dream About Getting Paid . Dogg Pound . Special Ed wrote this song when he was 12 years old
@@CrowdPleeza yeah he did a lot of producing and he went back to school for computers so he could catch up with the music computer of music so he didn't get left behind with the modern day music any production and tools!! 👌
He got blackballed cause he wasnt with the gangster rap he knew it would be destruction for us .. he just did a drink champ interview watch it hes a super duper legend who even tupac looked up too
You don't know about it man he was only 16 around this time maybe 17 but either way you had to be a drug dealer back then to be balling because they weren't paying rappers back then you couldn't get on the radio unless you were in a big city like New York or LA and if you were lucky your city might have a hip Hop hour once a week in the middle of the night when nothing else was playing it was worse than Disco because nobody believed it was going to be around at the end of the week like I said it was worse than disco had big balls they used to bounce them around at the rock concerts it said disco sucks and well it was worse for hip hop and now you know who's not around anymore rock and roll which is f***** up because I like old school hard rock and roll too. I like all good music no matter what genre or people that listen to it I'm not racist against any hood music.
Man that beat was/is cold AF
This album and the DOC’s debut held me down for the summer of ‘89.
That DOC joint was ILL as a mofo!!!!
Straight up
oh snap,. DOC's release was the shit. Whirlwind Pyramid? Forget about it!
That beat was fire back then unlike now where everything sounds the same it's dope to see Flatbush the Brooklyn Library downtown Brooklyn in ' 89
Special Ed - “The Mission”
Dope track
all these years “ alligator soufflé “ still cracks me up
Glad y’all checking out these OG’s

Special Ed was always nice on that mic🎤 🎙and on the eyes. He’s still doing his thing. 🎵🎶🎶🎵💯
I know all the lyrics to this from start to finish...😂
I use to think he was such a good rapper but he was only on the scene for a short while💫 always wondered what happened to him. Very nice pick 👍🏿💫✨
He still performing
Ed became a producer for most of the 90s. He did some tracks for 2 Pac I think.

Pretty boy Floyd makes an appearance. I haven't seen him since his cameo in Juice. Nice to hear this again.
Great memories from this song!
Fun watch & listen in JJ's time travel machine. ☮
Special Ed.. the man of my moniker with the solid gold bone. So fun, so smooth, so clever. He had it made.

React to "Dance For Me" by Queen Latifah.
