Fun to see that CGB experienced the exact same problem I did with Frodo, Determined Hero. I built the deck not understanding what he did and included way to many 1 mana equipment.

Huh I didn't realize Wizards snuck Sam in a reanimator because I've been so focused on blowing him up or removing his abilities before Cat comes down to drain me to death or using it to do so alone. He's a Selesnya reanimator! ....Well sorta close enough with something to Surveil the top or Graveyard tutor us what we want. Insanity! Though I think out of our gay Hobbits Equip Frodo is better. Ironically did you notice both can work together in this pairing? Like Equipment synergies are artifacts and we even have Equipment creatures now so honestly you don't lose too much from having them watch each other's backs. Also Sam with a sword just sounds like a fun meme/good way to change directions on the opponent confusing them. XD Might have to build this in RL even though my next project was going to be Fangorn....but alas even in paper finding low cost Treefolk is hard. Why is 3-4 the staple norm?? Oh well. Great games! I learned a lot. Mostly that Shelob players are such bullies and cowards it fits their Commander lol Get their nose busted they run! XD
Scurry Oak combo is likely my least favorite thing on Arena. I wish they'd errata it to where it only works 10 times in a turn, or that once you do the loop 6 times, it will 'autocomplete' the loop 50 times then disable the combo for the rest of the turn. Somthing!
I don’t think it’s happened yet, but if you cast your commander and it gets countered, does that include a cast trigger that means you can win that game for the challenge?

Love the challenge. Is the rule that it has to be cast or that it has to resolve? I would think that if the rule is that it has to be cast and it gets countered and you still win, it counts.
I'm so fucking sick of every game being Jodah, or prismatic bridge. Seriously I played 36 games today and only had 7 games that weren't those 2 commanders

I really enjoy watching you play decks you enjoy. When you try and do the agro thing and get salty at your own deck the fun just drains out

Winning with Scurry Oak/Rosie Cotton in the Sam deck feels weak, but you gotta take what you can in the cutthroat world of Historic Brawl!

He counts it as it has to resolve. If you counter the casting trigger, then it doesn't count

Watched it live, he trades a horse and I believe he won the game as well. But it was a huge pain to play. Not a good commander at all.
