The obsidian rose which is now required to craft the lavawaders only drops from fire imps (which are a pain to farm) and nowhere else. My buddy and me had to kill 250 imps to get two of them. We even got two plumber hats before we dropped the first rose, which has a 5 times lower drop rate. Sometimes RNG just hates you.
The RNG is fun in this game. Not boots-related, but I was recently farming for Vitamins (to shimmer them into the last Ankh Shield component), and after an in-game day of farming, I got a meat grinder (which has a twice as low chance of dropping) but no Vitamins
i love this animation so much. the use of the chest opening animation, the small part where the mining is just ridiculously fast, the lack of music all of it just adds up to make it really feel like a player actually going through the motions to make them, not just a speedrun keep upp the good work!

I know I'm a few months late, but any item you have that has the Material tag on it, can be brought to the Guide, and he'll tell you what can be crafted with it.
I got terraspark boots pretty early on, (i just looked up the seeds to find the other ingredients) but have been working on the ankh shield, zenith, and cell phone. I only needed the megaphone for the ankh shield, then i got two in a row. Having created the ankh shield, I continued farming the moon lord. That same day, I got the meowmere for the zenith, the last sword I needed. After creating the zentih, I went fishing. I got a frog leg, and was able to create the frog ninja gear. I completed an angler quest, and got the fisherman's pocket guide, allowing me to complete the cell phone. ALL IN ONE DAY!!!
Frostspark Boots were one of the things that started to make me hoard in Terraria. Was very happy to know that I had everything for Terraspark Boots until I remembered that I didn't have Frostspark Boots when 1.4 dropped.
In the future, you should make yourself a secure place in the Underworld to afk at (place down a campfire, a heart lantern, maybe some heart statues with a heart reach potion, and sit down in a chair), then drink an obsidian skin, an inferno, regen, and ironskin. Then use some imp summons, and just afk. I don’t think you would die (unless you’re on Master mode or are farming for it in Hardmode), but if you do, putting down some underworld enemy banners should help. Also, be sure to have a few water candles placed, and drink a battle potion to increase the spawn rate. This may result in an inability to afk farm, but will end up with you getting an obsidian rose quicker than you would have beforehand.

I feel like there could totally be an animated movie of just the adventure of terraria starting in hard mode and have animations of stuff being crafted and fighting all of the bosses. A simple like 1 hour movie but I feel like it would be so good

The reality of the situation is you don’t get lucky on ice skates and possibly can’t find an anklet of the wind and end up fishing for it instead
Fun fact: you can make the terraspark with just a little over 4-5 hours now by just fishing for more than half of the ingredients, aglet included.
