I’ve had the player-3 for about a year and a half and really like it but only com-plant I have I find the grips get tangled sometimes as careful as I try to be! I heard the player-4 Pro is wider?
have you ordered you r bag in the UK? I've the same bag ordered and paid for and they are saying March, what have you been told? I had the player 4 pro in 6 way grey but the 6 way was doing my head in with clubs getting jammed....
Torn between the pro or dxr, prefer to reduce weight but also want durability and a bag that can withstand the odd shower Texture of the synthetic leather looks great as I say just torn between them. Also how durable are the stand legs, do they open on you when you’re carrying and catch your legs?
Personally I'd lean towards the regular Pro version. Both are great, but the weight saving isnt that huge, and I love the gray synthetic leather. And yeah, stand legs are super durable. Havent had any issues with them catching while carrying.
Nah not really. Thats one thing I love about it is its super easy to wipe clean, and is generally pretty water resistant - especially compared to a nylon bag. So short of an actual waterproof bag, the Player IV Pro is what I usually use if the weather is going to be questionable.
You never posted the dedicated IV Pro video mentioned a year ago in the regular IV video unless I missed it. Does the Pro really have the microfiber lining on top? Tempted to get the Legends x Vessel collab but their photos seem to show the nylon padding despite claiming it's a IV Pro.
if i dont use a strap cover and i buy the normal leather-like material Player IV Pro, how bad will I end up scuffing the bag up? or is it more of a precaution to ensure the bag stays perfect condition for longer if I cart from time to time?
I just purchased a couple of the gfore bags in their 75% off sale to re-sell which was worthwhile! they are not anywhere near the quality of vessel I wouldn't ever buy unless price slashed tbh. I just sold my grey player 4 pro 6 way to buy a 14 way and they are not available in UK/ ireland in any colourway until some time in March which has really sickened me. They only have standard dxr not the pro. They don't seem to carry much stock as they are out of nearly every bag in every colour yet if you go onto the US site they have everything including all the accessories. Their customer service is also terrible and they don't have a phone either. I've gone off script a bit here but just buy a vessel pro ideally
Intresting, I thought the DXR material would be more durable and water proof compared to the synthetic leather. Great review 🍻
Would love to see you compare the Vessel bag and the new Titleist LinksLegend bag. Put them up head to head. They both look great in my opinion.

I am so pleased you have finally done this review. I have a preorder in on the Player IV Pro DXR . Can't wait.

@davidbrady1551 I did the preorder on 19 Dec. Last I heard Feb. Sent a chat on the Vessel UK site and they said Feb
So you’ve opted for dxr and happy it will be sufficient with uk weather albeit prob no bag would be suited to the current deluge of rain
@martincreighton6960 if the pebbled leather bag gets wet it takes days for it to dry out and a week for the internals to dry out
Just had a promised date of March 15th at the latest for delivery. Emailed them directly. Can't bloody wait.
Great video!
Great video! Am I right in thinking that the six way divider doesn't have a putter well? Thoughts on the Vessel vs the Ghost bags?
Correct no dedicated putter well on these. And I haven't tested any Ghost bags yet, so cant speak to it. But will try and get my hands on one soon!
The 6 way divider mimics the tour staff bag divider layout. Either of the front 2 dividers can be used as the dedicated putter well.
Great review of equipment, thank you
is the pro worth the difference in price?

Legs stay up when carrying and yes a hard decision re the finish but deffo go for the pro version

Does the leather material on Player IV require any maintenance? Also, which bag would you recommend if playing in rain (Hawaii/Bandon come to mind).

Yup, too heavy if you carry, but I guess most don’t these days, even those who walk

How does the vessel pro compare to G/Fore transporter 14 top

1 pound makes a difference? Lol!
