As someone from the east coast who has gone out to Vegas 2-4 times a year for the past 15 years, I can say that Durango is definitely a hidden gem! I also don't understand why people get greedy when up, and then desperate to make money back when down. With three card, blackjack, etc you can take a big hit and not recover. With craps, my go to, if you play smart you may not break the bank, but you usually don't lose your shit. Same with your theory on roulette - play smart, don't get greedy. I have actually done really well with the Aruze roulette machines - I can't remember when I walked away down from one of them. Even with roulette having the highest house edge over all other games, your theory really does work, but it could take time :) Then again, if you are in a casino or on a ship, who the fuck cares about time, right?
A man that totally gets me.... slow and steady and don't get greedy! I love playing low stakes roulette! If I can make $50 a hour playing roulette in a safe"ish" way then I'm good! Sometimes I throw caution to the wind when I find a single zero $25 table and get lucky, but that's a rare find! Glad to have someone who "gets" it too!
It's not just the minimum but the RANGE! The bigger the range WITH a low minimum the better your chances are of not ruining your bankroll. Be sure to check out the risk of ruin document in the description below.
I love your shows. We just took a 6 nite cruise on carnival dream and i played only wheel of fortune each day. I got 6400 points. Cruise was first week of December. I have not received any free offers yet. Just discounted cruises that still end up costing $1200. Disappointed in Carnival.
Hello, I've been in Vegas since 87, and enjoy your cruise videos your really living the dream . I have a restraunt suggestion while your in Vegas Called Giuseppes not that far from durango casino, their Flatbread pepperoni pizza and taste of Italy is awsome ,address 6065 s. Durango. Enjoy your stay
In this strategy, do you bet on the corner (0, 00, 1, 2, 3) every spin and Martingale after each loss? Or do you wait until the 6th spin to start the Martingale process? Thanks!
In this roulette strategy, do I bet every spin starting with 50 cents and follow the progression ($0.50 for 6 spins, $1 for 6 spins, $2 for 6 spins, etc.), or do I wait for a specific condition (like losing several spins) before doubling the bet? Also, how does this strategy ensure that I hit a number within 6 spins, and what happens if I don't?
Richard, I couldn't leave this as part of my last comment. Holy fucking shit - Frankie's Tiki Bar over on W Charleston.. About a 10/15 minute drive from the strip. Been going there for years. Those drinks will get you messed up. Last time I was there about two years ago a drink was 10/12 bucks, and the booze put into that concoction would equal half of your allowed drinks on Carnival. I enjoy the "kahiki kai" when I go there, I am just assuming you order the "suffering bastard".
The Good News: You get to make another video and (no pants) profit from that sweet ad rev. The Bad News: Your calculations are off. A normal 6-bet line pays 5:1 and the top (5 number bet) line pays 6:1 (the breakage is a bitch, should be 6.2:1) you have 7:1 in your spreadsheet (this is an upscale slot machine that uses that slot math: win=6:1payout+og bet which looks like that is what threw you off. You know how the slot math works, BIG WIN: $5!!! But I bet $6 on that spin? So really it was a big $1 LOSS). Unless this really is THE BEST roulette table in Vegas and they not only have low minimums and big range, but ABOVE INDUSTRY PAYOUTS, then we all need to get on the first plane out there and play this machine 24/7. Also, I don't know what is up with your spreadsheets format, it starts at a dollar bet then goes down to .50 then back up to 1 dollar (I blame it on the a-a-a-a-alcohol). Somehow you did get very close to the actual answer: 20 spins with $4.50 left, or 21 spins if you added 27.50 and spun once at $32. Math: 5 spins@ 0.50 then 3 each at 1,2,4,8, & 16 which a win at any point would yield all your previous bet amounts back plus 0.50. But to do something other than bust your balls, I really enjoyed the video (like always). I liked the roulette action, I liked the egg roll action, I liked the busting-steady-eddy's-balls action. Remember, when you play roulette in Vegas and wear no pants, the only thing left to lose is your eggroll money.
In retrospect I get the math.... I play the same thing now with a double street.... I'm happy you pointed out the flaw to my Vegas math (4th day into the trip, coming back from the brothels, video coming soon). Thanks for pointing it out. Still stacked some teddies with this spreadsheet but yeah I agree either way you. It is the best range I've ever seen on a roulette machine though. Gonna pin your comment.
For those who haven't watched, make a drinking game out of the number of times Richard says "Risk of Ruin". You'll get drunk and learn some math!
New pinned comment!

And i was not shanghaied this time
I'd definitely be more inclined to play more with lower minimums. Good luck NoPants. Excellent video

Hey Richard . Thanks for the video.
Just curious, the black /red bet with a couple on zero can build comps, correct?
Sure. But you will still lose 5.25% of the time with 2 zeros!
@NoPantsProfits on a double zero wheel the 5 number bet is 7.89% house edge.

Wish I could.... just turned in my rental car and stuck on the strip for the rest of the trip.... next time though!

Either works! See attached document!
You’re telling me that you walk away from the machine with money in it, that’s nuts.
My buddy was at the machine next to it!
Why the 5 number bet? It has a 7.89% house edge compared to 5.26% on other bets (double zero).
Good point, I guess you could do a double street instead. I love zero splits but they take forever to hit..... this hits more often.

Check risk of ruin document in description... but basically you are correct!!
el cortez downtown has the machine I believe for a quarter or 50 cents minimum
Same strategy works then too..... but it needs to be TOTAL not "Per Bet"
