i think all music is a matter of perspective. It has a different meaning to everyone. Just because a song is written about one thing, doesn't make it any less about another. Thats what makes music so beautiful. And some people don't realize the subtext inbetween the lines.

i think this is about being in love with highs as if it were a person. and like clay they morph and can turn into diffrent things and come in diffrent forms. like how first verse is a bout drinking, second about nicotine and if you hear "shown up happening vein." then the 3rd is about heroine. but he doesn't want to get too close "don't look at me" and overdose.

Rape, murder and so on aren't just wrong because they are wrong and that's that, they are wrong because of the way that they affect people and how people and society respond to it. A society where everyone kills and eats eachother doesn't fall apart because they are breaking abstract moral codes, it falls apart because it is self defeating. It just makes logical sense in the long run to avoid doing so.
