In your experienced opinion, what is the possible need for multiple MetaMask accounts? I'm not new to crypto, but neither am I super experienced. I use MetaMask, but I just don't understand why a person would want more than one account.

Technically, the private key only has access to that ONE wallet. Not the entire account. Exporting private keys are useful when you want to import one wallet, which belongs to another account, to another account which has a different seed phrase.

Why does the extension say it can read and change all your data on all websites, modify data you copy and paste? That doesn't sound safe in my opinion.

Yes you can, it will add a separate account which links to your ledger. But you can keep using the same old wallet that comes when the metamask was setup

Hey guys if you import your Ledger seed phrase to the 1st wallet that is set up on MM, then your Ledger seed phrase would now be stored online, correct? Thus defeating the purpose of cold storage. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the conversation here... It is my understanding as well that once you connect MM to Ledger, a 2nd account is created on MM which is Cold storage protected, but the 1st MM account is not connected to Ledger and there is no way to do it without compromising security and also the 1st account can't be deleted, and some people simply label it as "Don't Use" since it is not protected by the security measures implemented by Ledger or other cold storage wallet, (Trezor, etc.).
@@fredrickcallahan4292 this isn't true. When you connect ledger to MM, it lets you connect to the account but does not import the seed phrase. Every time you use that wallet, you need to connect to the ledger and click the buttons to approve.
The original account created on MM is still not protected, but there will be a separate account called "ledger account" on your metamask, which is cold storage protected.
The MM accounts are separate from the ledger accounts, with different seed phrases.
Metamask does not the ledger seed phrase, it just lets you view balance and interact with ledger

I am trying to withdraw some funds and transfer them to my PayPal account that's where I am stuck. can you do a video on how to transfer it to PayPal act? I live in USA.
