An anecdote that nobody asked for, brought to you by watching too many Bosh videos... Last night, I'm laying in bed watching another streamer's video on my phone, with my headphones in. The streamer is playing against Legacy Eldrazi. Their opponent casts Sowing Mycospawn: Streamer: "Oh, they cast with Kicker." Me (out loud, for no good reason): "You mean con-queso." My wife, next to me, with no idea what I'm talking about: "What? Cheese?" Thanks for that life experience Brian.
20:09 Instead of using your clue, you could've drawn with beanstalk by cutting the shepherd, which would have turned on the force you knew you were drawing.
As someone that loves your RUclips content, but tries to avoid .. uh. All other social media? I had a thought. What do you think about doing a YT community post of your Twitter/bluesky tournament thread for events that you won't do a video for?
I won a match against doomsday during Eternal weekend where both game wins were from me casting Witherbloom Command after they resolved doomsday. 10/10 wincon
39:13 regardless of if psychic frog was a mistake or not, always make mistakes (that dont cost you the game) confidently in person. You might think youre an idiot but maybe your opponent doesnt.
36:30 Even if Doomsday resolved I think keeping the Harbinger is right. A third land without it is not that interesing anyway. And you're more likely to find a land than the second harbinger I think. Lovely way to end that match though!
Love your content, watch all your videos with great pleasure. But your posts after Eternal NA got me thinking if you just picked the wrong deck. After watching this league I’m quite surprised you actually played the deck. Don‘t get me wrong, you certainly tested alot. But I can‘t shake the feeling the deck is not fast enough. And saying at the end that ancient tomb decks are big right now wouldn‘t lead me to play the deck either. Was it nostalgia or am I just completly off?
2 people made top 16 with this list, and they played against each other at X-1 in round 9. The deck is great, you just can't ever count on any Magic deck to deliver a great performance on the day. I also started my event playing against HogaakVine and Jund Zenith Loam, decks I did not have on my radar to make a plan for. Magic is full of variance.
@ Thanks for the quick response! Did not know that you played against two decks at the start that are that rogue in the format right now. I‘m a UB tempo player (with delvers over tamiyo right now) so I might have the wrong mind set to evaluate the meta as good as you do. But I like the closing speed (and my results) alot, since everybody is trying to combo or out value you right now. But as I said, I‘m not the player you are by any means.
Cursed Totem is underrated tech against the Nadu decks. It pretty much invalidates everything they’re doing, which includes tapping creatures for mana. If Null Rod is a one hit wonder out of the board, Totem should get some love at the same cost. Yes, it shuts down your Frog. But to blank practically an entire army of activated abilities is worth the trade off.
And i quote: "Psychic Frog, Tamiyo, Daze, Wasteland for the decks you have to go under plus Up The Beanstalk, great removal, Witherbloom Command, and Murktide Regent for decks you have to go over."
Combo seems to be the best thing to do in Legacy. Which means you probably don't want to play a deck like this, with not that many ways to interact with combo, and also not that much of a clock. What this deck does have is 4 Fatal Push, 2 murderous cut, 1 edict and 2 witherbloom, but that just makes it look like it's configured to beat an aggro-control / tempo meta, not with a combo meta. I really wouldn't want to play this deck against let's say Forge combo. The best option is probably to play combo. Failing that, you can play what theoretically beats combo: a really low to the ground aggro control deck with maindeck Dazes and Thoughtseizes and cheap threats. But then the problem is that you die to, well, people who play decks like this one, decks configured to prey on tempo decks (even though tempo isn't the thing to beat at the moment).

I'm not the only one!
Damn, you should try that storm list from your opponent in game 5; seemed like the nuts.
I occasionally imagine having that power when I'm about to lose a win and in.

In the same boat and love this idea 💡
I mean, he does post recap videos to RUclips already
You could sideboard a snow-covered island so you can track which one you draw
I'm loving the witherbloom vs doomsday play!
Two Frog is wild. I'm skeptical, but I do trust Poki has a plan there.

Love the content.
Hope the storm looked dope.
Eat your beans people
From the Eternal Glory podcast, I conclude Bosh had to eat some beans on EW.
"Hoof. Is Hoof lethal?"
Has the answer to that question ever, in the history of Hoof, been no?
Maybe post stifle but even then if hoof's resolved you're probably dead
If you have Hoof and three 0/1 creatures, that becomes 21 power after the trigger resolves.
Only three green sources and one comes tapped? Great content as always!
beans pack, bosh em if you got em

Day 12: Commenting until we get island and ponder tier lists!
Hopefully we will see it soon!
Cheers!
lean mean bean machine

The morning wouldn't be the same without my beans
What were your matchups eternal weekend?
How did the tournament go for you Brian? Are you going to do a recap video?

"He IS the natural order-elves version of Nadu" what the actual fuck lmao
frog pack croak em if you got em
havent played legacy for quite a while but this list cut the good cards like frog bowmaster tamyio or thoughtseize for w command and beanstalk?

Zoom in
Feels like too many 1 ofs in the deck trying to do to much and it’s not there when you need it. I know beans draws but you can get rolled quickly
