NEURAL DSP - Nameless and Soldano - Battle of the X's - Guitar Tones

- Clearly inspired by Periphery's Juggernaut Albums. This track demonstrates the recently updated Neural DSP guitar plugins. The Soldano SLO-100 X suite is shockingly versatile and I will use it mainly for my upcoming track releases.
Watch the Preset Settings on-screen throughout, for how the tones were dialed in the plugin suites.
Nameless Pedals Dialed with: Fortin gate at 50%, Fortin Hexdrive (Drive = 0, Tone = 100, Level = 85).
Soldano Pedals Dialed with: Soldano Overdrive (Drive = 10, Tone = 100, Level = 80)

I’m SOLD on the SLO Tone, but does the NAMELESS still cut through better? Lmk what you think!
The nameless amp is super gritty and can be difficult to reel in. But if you're noticing it cuts through better, try different IRs on the Soldano
NAMELESS mix ready, SLO needs to rework irs + eq to boost (non-harsh) needed mid/high freq's
@@orphanuprisingAgreed, different Impulse Reponses would give Soldano some punch. I tried matching up the cab mics as similar as possible within their plugin suites, but as you said, that Nameless cab setup was more gritty, might be adding to the note definition.
yea its always speakers(IR)>amp>pickups with eq being the wildcard. Any combination can cut thru equality with a little bit of eq. That said i love how smooth a soldano is.
@@Jordan7123 try adding new IRs. There's a ton of free ones online
Amazing twist on psychosphere and four lights!
Nice demo! Nameless easily wins for heavy and super low riffs (can also do dirty af black metal); Soldano does well for higher tunings, smooth leads, cleans, articulate proggy stuff, and for being one of the few amps that sounds good with chorus effects on it.
Soldano mix better to my ears and I'm glad that I bought it. Well played also.
Thank you kindly! I am leaning towards writing new parts with the Soldano for my album.
oh god crystal clear video
Thank you @deadlydarklord666
Everybody's now doing comparisons on Nameless X and Soldano X playing djent. In this case maybe Nameless is better. But as for the standard 6 string (and non-djent genres) - Soldano is hands down better (and one of the best out there).
As a consumer who owns all the Neural DSP amp plugins, I finally took the time to dial in some different tones with the OG Soldano, and I have been loving it for everything so far.
Que buen video 👌👌
i think nameless does a better job at singular stringy notes/palm mutes, both are really good tho!
Swapping between both, that's exactly what I noticed! Palm muting with the Fortin Nameless felt awesome and you could hear that clarity still come through. Also open strings, felt like Meshuggah.
Yo, I'm trying to dial in your nameless tone here, what are your pedals dialed in at? thanks
Hey buddy, sorry I didn't leave those plugin clips on-screen long enough to see the pedals.
They were...
Nameless Pedals Dialed with: Fortin gate at 50%, Fortin Hexdrive (Drive = 0, Tone = 100, Level = 85).
Soldano Pedals Dialed with: Soldano Overdrive (Drive = 10, Tone = 100, Level = 80)
Mess with the Tone and Level knobs for your playing style and pickups.
is it mix of modern day babylon + periphery? :D
damn, is that the cheapo JS32-8 going this hard? i have the X series SLATX8, might have to pick up a JS32-8 as a backup
Yessir! Put in some Tosin Sigs to spot it on the heavy lifts! Lol
Yeah the js 227 and the js328 are some of the best backup and fun cheapos yous can get right now. They make really good build platforms too.
What settings and gear are you using to get that tone
The gear and software as shown in description:
Cubase Pro 10 for DAW
Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 3rd gen Interface
JACKSON JS32 8 DKA 8-String Guitar /
Fishman Fluence Signature Series Tosin Abasi 8-String Pickup Set
JS Series Spectra Bass JS3V, Laurel Fingerboard - Satin Black
As for the presets I created, they show on-screen throughout the video.
Cheers!
@@Jordan7123 thank's a lot
Nameless 100%
Ive never like any soldano. Plug in or real thing. Its always felt very boring and dry to me
