As huge as a fan of Justin Fields I am genuinely happy about a new QB it’s a fresh start for sure.

Serious question, what about Justin Fields were you a fan of? I thought he was terrible. Like, he could scramble and run and he was an option threat I guess. He was the worst 4th quarter QB since he came into the league. I honestly don’t understand the fan base and why he tugs at peoples hearts. He was terrible.
I liked Fields but once it became apparent the Bears were getting the #1 pick I knew he was done. Anyone who thought seriously that the Bears were going to pass up Caleb, give Fields a massive contract extension and trade back for a bunch of draft picks was completely fooling themselves.
Justin Fields is a RB that will expect QB money. I want my QB's greatest strength to be his arm... Not his legs
Fields was a great runner but a ball holder and a fumbler on occasion …we need to let it rip and that’s what we did

For me it was the Good Rex days during the bowl run and year 1 of Cuthead
The 1st month Rex was player of the month and people was writing him in as MVP of the league he and the bears were undefeated and on fire. I remember like it was yesterday. Then a few bad games later we all were nervous lol

We are still Rebuilding. 2nd yr of the REBUILD, 3rd of the PROCESS. We have a whole new offense. Coaches, players, scheme. Still very young team. It's going to take time to jell.
You're absolutely correct, the building blocks have been placed, this year is a learning curve for the offense. I think the D will get better and keep us closer than we've been. I see 9 clean wins.

Mark you are so biased. WIlliam's issues are in many ways worse than the ones Fields had coming out of college (might be why most people had Fields rated higher). Williams routinely missed wide open players, and his footwork is often quite bad leading to lots of overthrows (from the pocket). I see no evidence that he is any better when the first option is blocked - try and remember that Getsy liked 2 WR patterns.
