One of my favorite guys to listen to from any media outlet is Baldy. No bs from him. Just the facts. He knows the trenches and Mark smartly focused on that with him. Which made this a very good interview. Great job by both.

The schedule is not that easy if you think about it, @houston is a tough game, @indy will be tough, vs rams will be tough, Jacksonville will be tough, @ San Fran is tough, the the division is murderers row, vs Green Bay twice, vs Detroit twice and vs Vikings twice.. now they might not be as dangerous with Kirk cousins not there but McCarthy remains to be seen, all the division games are back to back to back to back lol the schedule is tough af but we do have the talent to win all those but that is nowhere near easy

Poles isn’t done yet, we still have money to spend. I think the edge will be addressed this year, while the rest of the spots will be taken care of in next year’s draft. We could have 3 picks in the top 55 picks. Those should be high quality players.

The whole O-Line is suspect. They're not even average. So, pump the breaks because time is essential for good qb play

  • @shake6321
    @shake6321 29 дней назад

it’s the data. rb, interior oline, nose tackle, lb, and safties don’t impact the game as much anymore. the game is played on the outside, not the inside.
qb, wr, tackle, edge, cb (all outside guys) have a bigger impact.
i think rb is now too under rated. rbs can make a huge impact. the issue is that they get injured a lot and unless you are top 5 your replacement can do nearly as well but cost 1/10th the price.

There's no competition. Shelton was brought in to be the backup. You can argue that their belief in Bates is insane--that the guy is just no good--and that's fine. But there is no competition.
Also, Kiran was drafted for two years from now, not this year. He's replacing Braxton. Braxton is good enough to be a starter, and bad enough not to want to pay out the nose for him. Some other team will offer him ridiculous money, and the bears already plan not to match that.

The Biggest Thing Caleb will have to adjust to is how much better the food is in Chicago than LA and going from Avocado sandwiches to Italian Beefs. But more importantly he going to have to adjust to is all the winning he’s going to be doing now that he’s playing with the most talent that he’s ever played with. I would add him having to adjust to just how corny and weak lameazzz Bears QB haters are but he’s already used to that.

Grote, you have to ask Poles how he can justify taking Kiran over a starting Center who could have been an improvement - when we have two unproven/non-elite Centers! I think everyone deserves an answer to this... Poles' oversight of Center/3-Tech is mind-boggling, unless Bates and Dexter play like All-Pros, which is just a million prayers away

I think you freaking reporters are truly SLOW sometimes. Ryan Poles could not do everything, got Dam It. As we didn't have the draft capital or money to address everything.
Jeez, the 🐻 will be okay at Center, I believe they are a Wild Card Team right now for sure without playing one game.
Right now, Kiran, or (Karin), is probably better than most of our reserves, especially Larry Boren, who I expect to be let go. I don't expect the 3rd rounder to start even if he was healthy. Who was he going to beat out?
Please start acting like you have all these years in the sport by being realistic with your expectations.

  • @richmargin6082

Odunze can play any WR position. I wouldn’t be surprised if they switch between Allen and Odunze in the slot. That will allow allen to go all over the place like last year. And even though defenses knew moore was gonna get the ball, they couldn’t stop him from getting it AND getting all those yards after the catch. And if you send all 3 out then who will defend Kmet or Swift underneath? If Caleb sees the linebackers chasing WRs then that’s gonna leave someone wide open. All 5 of those guys have excellent hands too. Very rarely would any of them drop a ball. That is what i like about the offense the most. We saw so many WRs from the Packers dropping balls last 2 years. Thats why those small details could help us beat the Packers. The reason we lost was because they just send like 6-7 guys against Justin Fields and he wasn’t fast enough to be able to get it to anyone. And maybe WRs weren’t open either. Caleb just needs to find Odunze and toss it to him for a jump ball.

@@shake6321 The league did the same with the RB position in the past. 80s 90s the running backs were premium positions on a team. Now they don’t matter, they are doing the same to safeties, 5-10 years ago those were premium positions. Now, not so much. WR and edge are the most important positions after a QB. I still would address the center spot with the injured Miami player who won’t be ready until October or so. We could use him for our divisional games, that dude was a beast before the ACL tear.
They should be able to address all the holes next draft. We’ll have 3 picks in the top 55. Edge, safety, center will be key positions of need. We have 8 picks next year. Should be a phenomenal team in 2025!
