“I feel empathy for the people who have been so manipulated and had their beliefs used as political weapons,” he continued. “I may be among them. I wish internet news was two-sided. Both sides represented on the same programs. Social media, at the hands of powerful people - influencers, amplifying lies and untruths, is crippling our belief system, turning us against one another. We are not enemies. We must find a way home.” Neil Young 2021

Just have the discipline to educate yourself enough to know
the difference between hard news and editorial,
conclusions supported by data vs those that are just opinions,
be wary of overly broad sweeping statements
always hate SLOGANS as they are meant to reinforce Dogma and they always attempt to deflect
      Fact check everything
Don’t be afraid to be fact checked yourself if you are really seeking the truth look at it as a favor
Usually the group who thinks everyone with an opinion that differs from theirs will rage and lash out that they alone have access to the “truth” accusing anyone not in their group as being indoctrinated sheep when in fact they themselves are the real sheep.
When it comes to debate leave your pride at home.

@@hbitsorg2275 Actually, "I heard Mr. Young sing about her" was a reference to a song called "Alabama" which had the lyrics: Oh, Alabama
The devil fools with the best laid plan
      Swing low, Alabama
      You got the spare change
      You got to feel strange
And now the moment is all that it meant
Alabama, you got the weight on your shoulders
      That's breaking your back
Your Cadillac has got a wheel in the ditch
And a wheel on the track
      Oh, Alabama
Banjos playing through the broken glass
      Windows down in Alabama
See the old folks tied in white ropes
      Hear the banjo
Don't it take you down home?
Alabama, you got the weight on your shoulders
      That's breaking your back
Your Cadillac has got a wheel in the ditch
And a wheel on the track
      Oh, Alabama
Can I see you and shake your hand
      Make friends down in Alabama
      I'm from a new land
I come to you and see all this ruin
      What are you doing Alabama?
You got the rest of the union to help you along
      What's going wrong?

Who needs technique when you have wicked sharp intent, phenomenal tone, great feel for the time, creative rhythmic and melodic musical ideas galore. And a great band that knows their soloist. Showy metronomic technique chops are like a maraschino cherry on a cake. Essentially window dressing. Listening to technique chops obsessed musicians (a la eddie van halen, neil peart, malmsteen etc.) is like ordering cake and receiving a jar's worth of red cherries neatly arranged on a silver platter.

It’s all we got sometime, never lose grip- flare your nostrils back at injustice, knowledge is power. Never stop learning man’s history, unnerving at times but only way to look at the future of your life and understand as much as you can. Clarity is key to a happy life. Take back control, drop your phone in the sink if you can’t fight the bullshit time wasting apps on your own. HIT DELETE!. Enrich in YOU with what YOU find appealing, don’t be a sheep to the algorithm they just want your money and anger. Keeps us ignorant, keeps them greedy.

Love the song with a powerful message. Great songwriting back in the’60s and early’70s especially about war and injustice. There’s a lot of hip-hop that talks about injustice but in my opinion you can’t beat great guitar players or riffs in those songs. Just my thoughts but I am 65 and grew up during the war and had a brother killed in Vietnam. Injustice against people of color today is the same as then. Really thought our country would get better, but just look at the country today.

@J.B 4117 Skynyrd actually loved Neil's music and they planned on collaborating on an album. Unfortunately they were never able too after the deadly plane crash. While Sweet Home Alabama is, at its core, a statement of southern pride, the "feud" between Neil Young and Van Zant was completely performative. The respect the two had for each other and their groups cannot be understated.

Neil Young interpretó el tema una vez,en un monumento a los 3 miembros de Lynyrd Skynyrd que murieron en aquel accidente de 1977,cerrando así cualquier controversia...

Hey I will even go and find the link on RUclips and get back to you , not now but later in the week . Are you sweating yet ?

@@kookamunga2458 maybe you do know what your talking about, but I still stand by my point about his influences. Jimi surely did influence Neil to rock harder like countless other musicians at the time who hadn’t heard anything like it. However, in terms of melodic themes and phrasing Neil blazed his own path.
