I just bought a popup Viking yesterday and somehow, with my next door neighbor's fantastic coaching, we were able to get my popup in the garage with a few inches on each side and 6 inches length-wise. Just like finding a good parking space in the city, now I don't want to move the camper because it's tucked away so well! If our HOA won't approve a mod to make our 2-door garage into a single door -- and even if they do approve it -- this is a great way to alleviate stress and anxiety at the end of a camping trip. Thanks so much for posting. Ciao from Kennesaw, Georgia!
thanks, i just finished my project, buy everything as in the video, and everything works perfect, by the way we have the same hard side model, greetings from cape coral florida
Great video again, believe it or not, I have had the same idea, only with an old cable stairlift motor set up, mine would pull through the garage into the garden, hey there's an idea for a video ? oh darn, already done , lol
Bought a pop up this Friday. It has 3"s to spare on the sides, and 1" back and front in my garage. Backed it up with my truck. NEVER AGAIN! I was thinking about the same set up you have. Thank you for making the vid! Could not tell from where you hook your camper to the winch. Thanks again! Sub'd for more solo stuff. A vid about your kayak set up would be great!!!!!
A couple questions.. did you consider attaching the winch to the trailer, and only a hook to the floor? If you did, why did you decide to attach it to the floor? If you didnt, do you see or think of any down sides to attaching the winch to the pop up? Thanks for the video!!!
It’s personal preferences. Attaching winch to the floor gives me option to pull in garage anything (trailer, car, boat) attaching to the trailer you are stock with the trailer.
What type of trailer dolly are you using? I am looking at the tow tuff adjustable one that can handle 600 lb of tow weight. It will be for our Rockwood popup A frame trailer that has just under 300lb tongue weight. Thank you!
I bought mine from harbor freight tool Its rated 600 lb, it works fine for my a-frame www.harborfreight.com/600-lb-heavy-duty-trailer-dolly-60533.html?_br_psugg_q=trailer+dolly
@@SoloCampingAdventures do you know the tongue weight of your a-frame? I am considering that trailer dolly, but am concerned about the strength. Thank you.
@@PeterTan-yf6fg honestly I don’t know. But that dolly not in use anymore. Felt up part. Try google the tongue weight. I would guess weight could be 300-400 lb

Thanks for the video. Long time RVer (class B and C), but getting a new A Liner pop up camper I plan to store in garage. I stumbled onto this video and I don't think I appreciate setup because I don't understand the challenges. When you first backed up, you were already in the garage. Why did you then use the hand valet to pull it out of the garage and then a winch to pull it back into the garage? Is it because of the angle of your driveway and the need to get the trailer within inches of where you want it parked inside the garage? And the dolly is too heavy? Thanks!
Thanks for the question. Good point. I have couple of reason not to push my camper all the way in garage with my Tahoe. First and main one: Driveway is too narrow, to straight the camper up, and my neighbor doesn't like when I drive on his grass, plus there is a sprinkler system. Second reason: because i need to put my vehicle in garage too, so camper side must be exactly 6-7 in from the center of garage. Very precise fit :) And why I use electrical winch? because driveway has a slope and incline about 5 degrees, its very hard without the winch to push camper in garage. I hope it make some sense.
I'm awaiting delivery of my first camping trailer, a Flagstaff T12RB, same as the A122. I've been wondering how a newbie like me was going to back the thing into my garage with only 2" clearance on each side after accounting for all the things sticking out of the trailer's sides. Problem solved! Thanks!

Thanks, watched my other videos, you could find more useful info.

Solo Camping Adventure откуда вы Приехали?
Я купила aliner 10 ranger. В мае этого года парковать ещё не научилась хорошо.
Any chance you could tell me the measurements for your garage and the camper? thanks so much great video!
Garage is 21Ft X 21Ft
Camper 7Ft X 16Ft with tongue
Thanks so much!!!
How is the electrical hooked up? Did you have to get 110vac - 12vdc transformer?
No, this is 12 volts winch
Did you mount the winch to the garage floor and if so what did you use?
Hi Debbie, I used six 5/8 concrete anchors
Please view other my video

How did you convert it to AC? Got links tor the wires and extras to convert it?
I didn’t. It’s 12 colts battery operated. It’s connected to my camper battery
Where do you have the wench attached to on your pop up?
To the frame
What is the tongue weight of that a-frame? The trailer dolly's axle is visibly bent (see 4:12, the tires are probably at 15 degree angle)
No, not 15, still 14 degree angle lol

Sir....did u ever put a lift on your camper?
No, it wasn't hard for me to unfold the camper
@@SoloCampingAdventures no..i meant a lift kit
Where's the link to the toe pull?
Sorry what do you mean?
Isthe 2,500 the tounge weight or the weight of the whole trailer
Whole trailer approximately 2150lb tongue included. Tongue itself about 250-300lb
@@SoloCampingAdventures thank u, this will probably be good for my dad's 16ft whaler and trailer which is about 2100lbs
