- In the video, several nurses are seen talking about "Labor and Delivery Icks," where they take turns mocking patients and complaining about what annoys each of them.
See ! What black women don't understand is, if you only in it for the check....find something else you good at. Too be a nurse means to be compassionate and have empathy for those who can't help themselves in vulnerable/critical conditions. Now they fired yo black azz. My grandma told me years ago, that " Your mouth can get you in trouble" Now its "Putting your mouth on social media can get you in trouble"
Right on!
"now they fired yo black azz" 😂😂
I love this - signed another black woman who’s sick of black women’s shit!
Exactly 💯. Did you hear her say the men going from room to room seeing two different women who had just gave birth to his baby? That's was cold and insensitive. I'm glad they fired that black trash.
YOU DAMN RIGHT SAY IT AGAIN 👏🏿
I feel as if they should have been fired, not only for what they did but also to instill FEAR to the nurses that are doing it across the country, examples have to be made so people can and should be held accountable for their actions.
😢😢😢😢 are you kidding me this is sick yes they should be fired even if it was Christmas
What is this obsession with posting everything on social media? You know this is a no no. Why put your job at risk for likes? It boggles my mind🤔
Every hospital I ever worked had a "No Video and No Pics" policy about work. These nurses were complete idiots to post this video on social media. If I did that I would expect to get fired.
Too harsh….what doctor wants/needs to worry about whether they’re patients were being treated as they should be. What happened to the Hippocratic oath of DO NO HARM.
Maternal death is too high for these shenanigans
Toooo high!
Yes because it was very tacky and unprofessional just to think these people went to school for nothing 😂 jokes on them
@shirley smith correct! They can still be a nurse just at a different hospital! Another hospital might not hire them but yeah- that's your feedback!
Yes that part 😂
@@shirleysmith584 i don't know if it was revoked or not but if asked about their previous employment i would think they would have to explain why they got the boot
Warning - never bring your employer into disrepute.
"...I don't remember ever having a negative experience..."
As of being in labour isn’t stressful enough, now we will be worried about what nurses are saying about is outside the room 🤦🏻♀️ Have those thoughts, keep them to yourself. Idiocy to put them online
They SHOULD HAVE been let go!!!!!! U can't do that s*#t when ur in healthcare- PERIOD!!!!!
I could see how this would make any mother or family feel uncomfortable having kids there anymore. Wow the most vulnerable part of a women's life and they want to make fun of it. I hope no one ever hires them. Who gets their nurse license then makes fun of their patients? Sick.
Why should the hospital consider their feelings when the didn't consider anyone's feelings they were mocking... It might be harsh to say it that way but when you work in an industry where people have no choice but to be vulnerable in front of you you have to take in consideration how they may feel once they see or hear about this... It creates a trust issue in that particular setting.... Why should the holidays determine their punishment... They new before they did it it could possibly get into the wrong hands resulting in their termination ..Yet they gambled and lost..
Why are they allowed to film and make video on the clock anyway?
I have been a nurse in acute care for over 40 years and recently retired from this venue to work remotely as a triage nurse for hospice and home care agencies who resource from our company. I have to say I'd seen the complete video myself and was appalled at its content. There is no reason for any nurse to be complaining online about patients and family members who they are responsible to serve. I take my job extremely seriously and know my patients receive excellent care. My husband was recently admitted to an ICU post back surgery and the nurse entered the room and made a statement to me about how he "disliked people". I was literally shocked and asked if he was having a bad day. He stated he was not, but that he literally did not like dealing with people. I told him I felt he was in the wrong profession and that I would care for my husband myself to relieve him of the responsibility of having to do something he did not want to do. I could no more say this in front of a patient than cut off my right arm.
Wow!! Good for these women! People can be such a-holes!!
There's more people complaining about them.
More patients? Oh my goodness I can only imagine their struggles with them.
While it was unprofessional, I think they should have been suspended. There's doctors, policeman, judges, presidents that have done far worse and even killed innocent people, yet they still had their job.
But the nurses are ignorant as fuck to indicate where they work/be in uniform on social media. In the beginning of nursing school they tell you not to do shit on social media that can jeopardize your job by posting things about patients. We've probably all watched funny videos of office life with coworkers, boss, clients and etc. that get on our nerves. It's not funny when you lose your job over it. Did all that schooling only to end up fired over something like this
That is where I'm supposed to have my baby next year in May. All of my prenatal doctor appointments are held there. hmm 🤔 now I feel some type of way.
Now those 4 women are probably getting paid more with less work.
I think the disciplinary action is harsh... These nurses should have not said where they worked or been anywhere that remotely looks like Emory. And you can do a skit all day long all you want, I don't know why you chose your place of employment.
they said they didnt have a negative experience tho
No ma'am only one lady said that. FYI...there are several former patients coming forward about their treatment. Those nurses opened Pandora's box.
What are the nurses names??

I watched the "ick" video and really...that was something really unprofessional and could've been shared amongst themselves.
Should've considered making the video off the clock, out of the ward, and off of hospital (employer) premises.
Once you get so into social media that you cross the lines of oaths/professionalism for (unnecessary attention) - you need to seek another occupation. Professional and personal icks should be evaluated and your decision made from there.
IE: You got an "ick" with your significant other - - - move on.
Sad social media controls society behavior 😢
Welp. .. unfortunately people don't know how to control their own. No excuse for this...they played their own dumb selves 🤣😂🤦🤷🏼.
Disrespectful! Nursing has definitely changed over my 30 years!
They can go to another hospital,no problem...
Very unprofessional

Whatever everything they said in the video is true people r dumb and they should know it so they would act better they needed to say something
Emoji hospital! Maybe
You should also fire the managers who hired them, thus creating a toxic floor. This kind of behavior is the NORM in nursing.
They are not clairvoyant.
Smh 🤦🏾♀️ y’all have to do better as black women especially the important job you have handling these precious life’s and the mothers who’s going through such a traumatic time such as birth, they must not have children again smh 🤦🏾♀️
F em
It is what it is…forget about what these nurses did bc they didn’t go kill anyone and worry about these sick men out here that kidnapping and taking these kids lives like that FedEx man did to that child…let’s worry about that!!!
Question: Would these incompetent nurses have been fired if they were from a certain alphabet community?
Retarded Arrogant Persons. 🙄
No they probably would not. I’m
Not defending the behavior though.
One of the nurses were actually white
Whether they are gay or not is irrelevant .
@@shari9721 what are you talking about?
I’m glad it was right before Christmas ! 🥰🥰 next time watch your mouth!😮
They'll have new jobs by then. Don't forget this is clown world
I hope you have a Wonderful Holiday season, Merry Christmas.
As we have seen over the last couple years we don't know what a day will bring. We don't know who to trust, who to support. I only know of one that we can trust no matter the situation.
His name is Jesus, and it is only through him and his grace that we can have a home in heaven.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
I am sorry but I really do not see what the fuss is all about. Yes, it was unprofessional but I do not think it warrant them being fired. The nurses didn't mention a specific person and the truth of the matter is that many patients are inconsiderate, rude, and expect nurses to be their hand maids and act like the nurses have nothing better to do than serve them hand and foot. This world has grown so soft and become outraged over any small thing. No wonder there is a nursing shortage.
I agree
If this ghetto shit is the best they got, I'd rather see a shortage.
I think from an HR view, they all signed the agreement when hired about social media and they were on the clock. Puts the hospital or business at risk. An example: while the fourr nurses were doing tic toc who was tending to the patients? Anything could have went wrong and well family will sue.
Most hospitals now days have policies against social media and ANYTHING that can possibly bring your facility into negative light WILL have backlash! If u watch replay of the show where it was nurses in NYC- a nurse posted a pic of the floor after they had trauma patient and said something along the lines of "Trauma 0- ER at XYZ hospital 1- we kicked trauma a*#" HR saw it and fired her- it was a picture of bloody mess on a floor (and gauze- IV lines.....trauma mess!)
@@lymarie1974 how do you know they were on the clock? They could have been on their lunch break and doing a 30 second til tok is not what I consider to be a time consuming activity that would endanger any patient but it doesn’t matter, I am sure they will get another job quite easily.
Women need to get over tht. The video to me was harmless.
I dont think so. I'm black and I'm tired of these ghetto CNAs , nurses, medical assistants, etc all over the place. While I personally have met some kind and caring individuals in healthcare, I have met some rude individuals who I feel have no business in the medical field. Many don't want to help humanity they just want a paycheck and the RN title. I know many of them get tired or are shell shocked from long shifts but that does not give them the right to be rude or make fun of patients. They would not want that treatment themselves. They should also remember a higher power is looking at them and taking notes. Karma is a b*tch.
That's because you are not a woman dumb dumb.
That's because you weren't the target of their mockery.
It was very absurd and childish PERIOD
@@toasted_.coconut We all do it in some shape of form. I swear. Ppl have gotten to “F”’n sensitive in this country. Did they make fun of them for them not being married” just using tht as an example” or not having insurance? NO.
Americans make everything news and takes everything to heart thank god I haven’t been born over there that’s stress
This hospital racist as f**********
😃😁😆😅🤣😂 bad nurses but you didn't have to let them go.
🚨 This was Decatur. A largely black area. The black nurses would be first screaming about "black pregnancy racism". Interesting how this works 🙃
Bonnets, Lashes, Mayhem
When the black trash came to the interview wearing a bonnet, pajamas pants and eyelashes that look like fans you should have told them you recently hired someone for the position. Yet you hired these clowns now lawsuits awaits you.
I bet these nurses got very angry because the mother's chose not to abort the children
Nurses are supposed to wear bonnets when working in surgical areas such as L&D.
@@gaypasley6184Given birth 4 times, never seen a nurse in a bonnet. Where is this a thing at?
ICK!!!!
