Damn, that's crazy! First time I saw the video, as the music started to kick in, my first thought was 'I wonder who that guy is in the driveway and how he ended up in the video?' Dax being an independent artist so I knew there was no Sony/BMG spending a week to cast what the image consultants found to embody that perfect encapsulation of what their focus groups wanted to see...and all that other mass-produced garbage that only ends up making the product look more inauthentic than it already is. And I think I'd read he shot it up in Kansas? Or somewhere I call 'East of Denver' because when you're driving and get to Eastern Colorado, the scenery don't change much for many ensuing windshield hours lol. And you definitely did that scene justice, brother. Such a powerful song.

Not to make a big deal out of this at all, but I am actually an actor out of Wichita, Ks. (I played guy in the truck at the start.) I believe all the other guys in the video live and work in Salina, Ks. where we shot the video. Again, not a big deal, and hope I don't sound arrogant saying: I am an actor, lol.
I like this. I have a daughter. 24. She said "I don't want bleep from you." Hopefully your 16 gets to that place. At first my inner feelings were "are you serious?" She say yeah that child support went a long way paid for all her extra college bills. 50-70 hours a week. Not even being able to afford a car, or a girlfriend. So keep fighting Sir. Even if you can only afford Antennae TV like I did for 20 years. Sure I went to the bar to watch my Chicago Bears vs Packers a few times. But it was well worth it.
I ain't need to explain to since you already doing it. This is for everyone paying child support whatever doing their best to take care of their kids. Bleep didn't work out but I am going to get up, get that paper make sure ya got something child. May not be much for Xmas or your birthday but you getting something even if I don't eat for a few days.
