That puny grass in the Pacific Northwest can’t even start to compare with Florida grass. Florida grass has to withstand mole crickets 4 inch long grasshoppers and moles big enough to saddle. Add that to the palmetto bushes and you got a real jungle. P. S. I’m originally from Oregon.

This is why I make sure my lawn is set to the lowest possible cut you can go. A lot of people say its bad for the environment but Im convinced that only applies to grass up north. Down here in florida the grass is a lot more resilient so cutting it super lower will only slow down the growth instead of kill it. Then just leave the grass clippings behind as they will act as natural fertilizer as they break down.
