After all these years and all the new music, I keep coming back to this one.. it's like the ost to a dark Donkey Kong Country jrpg that was never created.
I've listened to this more times than I can remember at this point. It brings such a serenity and sense of calm that I can't adequately describe. It has to be my favorite set of tracks in this genre - whatever that genre is.
I cant get over how much I love this album. I replay it at least a few times a week. My fav album to drive to or play games or anything really. Best ambient album ever
This music puts me in a liminal mind space. Liminal Mind Space - Much like a liminal space, it is defined by the feeling of absence while being present in a place you feel you're not supposed to be at present; while also feeling belonging. A lms is like a memory where you were alone, but not by yourself. Like a deep daydream or sleep paralysis. Or even just waking up at the witching hour by yourself. Your awake/half awake and no one else is. There might be people in the house or room, but they are sleeping. The tv is running in the background or the game is paused. Normally you'd resume your activity, but this time you just soak in the ambience and go back to sleep.

It's 1996, and I Time jumped using my Time Travel hat to spend one more day with my grand father, the feeling is bittersweet as he will die in two years. He says he's proud of the man I become. I cry tears of joy and sorrow as the sun finally sets and I say goodbye. Something the younger me never gets to say until now!
The very essence of vaporwave is nostalgia. It's quite expectable to have people reminisce of earlier days - whether it's happy and careless or unsolved problems. Both, most times.

This really screams my childhood. They sound like the songs I'd hear in those 90s 8-bit games.
Gorgeous textures. I love the feelings I got from listening to these tracks, thank you for making this. I absolutely love you guys and this community of nostalgia addicts like myself lol

It's 1996, and I Time jumped using my Time Travel hat to spend one more day with my grand father, the feeling is bittersweet as he will die in two years. He says he's proud of the man I become. I cry tears of joy and sorrow as the sun finally sets and I say goodbye. Something the younger me never gets to say until now!
where is all of this tooth aching sentimentality coming from ?..yuck!
The very essence of vaporwave is nostalgia. It's quite expectable to have people reminisce of earlier days - whether it's happy and careless or unsolved problems. Both, most times.
This pierces my heart. Thank you for this. Such an enchanting album.
Really great SNES DK / RPGMaker midis feeling here
People talm bout SNES/NES memories but this is like going back to early 2000's public education.
So many online learning lessons or games with music like this, brings me back lol
The "I miss you" sample around 1:30 mark is from Earthbound
The same sample is used in this song too:

Another comment section on a different Windows 96 video was talking about how excellent all of their cover art is and it's true. The cover art is so fitting and somehow elegant on all of their releases. I love it.
A friend said to me that you can truly judge an album by its cover bcause it says a lot of what kind of estethic the artist is looking for, so if you like the cover probaly will like de sound
@@rauldantas6135 good Lil perspective my good sir.
