  • In recent years, there has arisen doubt in some brethren within the church about the third Person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit, actually being a Person.
    Pastor Bohr looks at the Biblical record, as well as the writings of Mrs. White, to confirm who or what the Holy Spirit really is.

    Ive noticed cycles in every day life. Astronomy, the seasons, cycles and rhythms in living organisms. Going shopping and customers all line up about the same time. Different things like that. Im going to start praying before I go anywhere in my car that God in His mercy will keep me in a safe cycle.

    Who is mortal man that we can claim to understand God? Whether three in one, one in three - one thing is for sure - it is IMPOSSIBLE for mortal man to understand, or get to know and explain the essence/power/secrets of God.
    Trinity bashers, however, claim to have it down pat - short of claiming to know God better than He knows Himself!
    Best to keep silent over amplifying foolish objections regarding the things and the essence of God; or, insert foot-into-mouth with the continual attacks on divine matters beyond our feeble, human comprehension!

    Were does the word 'godhead' come from? "Oh! bt what about Col 2:9? There many translations use 'godhead'.The greek word used here is THEITOS' meaning 'divine nature' ( a condition even the 'saints' will experience in heavan! (See 2 Peter 1:4). It was John Wycliffe ( 1330-1384) who first coined the word, which may suggest the idea of 'the head of a group, as in the 'trinity'. Just one of many unscriptural teachings of the 'orthodox' churches! twisting the bible doesnt please God!

    Appeared that you don't understand the Trinity. Why God will give to Jesus and then to the spirit and to angels and to Ezekiel to saints. God is one. Jesus is God. John 1:1.

      Read 1 Tim 3:16. Without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness, God manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit.......That is Jesus is God. The teaching by Ps Bohr showed that SDA follow Ellen G. White who do not believe the Trinity. Sad.

      I'm perplexed how someone could watch this video and then conclude it's saying that Jesus isn't God. Unless the person didn't actually watch it.

      You hang to your own idea; but we live by what Bible say. There are three Identities in heaven; there are three that bear witness in heaven (1 John 5:7); go and baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20). There are three; God's Bible says.

    The Trinity means 3 gods no matter how you water it down. Thats not correct. The Trinity is not in the bible, everyone knows this. The bible says very clearly that all scripture is inspired of God....
    The Trinity is not a scripture therefore it is not holy as it is claimed to be. The Trinity is nothing more then a theology or theory. Thats it. We could go back and forth all day on what we think our interpretation is ofvthe scriptures and never agree because those who believe in the theory of the Trinity put the Trinity above the scriptures and will not ever accept that the Trinity, although clearly not a scripture and not inspired by God could be wrong. So what Trinitarians do is manipulate the scriptures to fit their theology instead of fitting their conclusions to the scriptures. To believe in the Trinity you have to ignore many other scriptures along with any common sense that you were born with. The Trinity in fact is there god.

    Twice Paul said "There is ONE GOD THE FATHER", ( 1 COR 8:6. & Eph 4:6 ). Why did he not follow this statement with 'The Son & the Holy spirit'? Not ONCE anywhere in God's Holy word does the word 'trinity' or its definition' occur. So who are we to believe? God's word? or a council of proud bishops conviened and influenced by a family murdering Roman emperor 300 years after jesus! Hence at the council of Nicea held in Constantine's summer palace. The whole set up could not have had the blessing of th Holy spirit according to |James 3;13-18. Much argueing, shouting fist waving, excommunications back and forth. How different to the peaceful, reverent coucil in Jerusalem recorded in Acts chapter 15!. It was even ruled that those NOT accepting this unscriptural doctrine ( and there were many!) would be cruelly executed!

      Paul is showing the Father is the HEAD of the Godhead, not that the Son is not God also. John 1:1-2, Rom 1:20, Col 2:9

      @@NirkyYou are correct the Father is the HEAD, The King of the universe, the Son is the Prince, “God is the Father of Christ; Christ is the Son of God. To Christ has been given an exalted position. He has been made equal with the Father. All the counsels of God are opened to His Son.” (8T 268.3) 1904 (This statement does not fit in with 3 eternally co equal Gods) Jesus the only being that can enter into the council of the Father. That would mean, either the Holy Spirit as the third being is not allowed into the Fathers council, or the Holy Spirit is just what scripture states It is The Spirit of God, and NOT another being called "God the Spirit" (NO reference of God the Spirit in the Bible) , and furthermore God had a single co-worker in the creation of all things, not co-workers. “The Sovereign of the universe was not alone in His work of beneficence. He had *an associate-a co-worker* who could appreciate His purposes, and could share His joy in giving happiness to created beings. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” John 1:1, 2. Christ, the Word, the only begotten of God, was one with the eternal Father-one in nature, in character, in purpose-the only being that could enter into all the counsels and purposes of God. @@Nirky That is 100 percent correct, the Holy Spirit has a personality, and He is divine. The thing is if you start to use EG White Quotes to form a viewpoint, you have to use all her quotes to form the correct and complete picture, just as you would with the bible. “We want the HOLY SPIRIT, which is JESUS CHRIST.” - (Ellen G. White, Lt66, April 10, 1894) "The Holy Spirit is Himself (Jesus) divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit, as the Omnipresent.” - (Ellen G. White, 14MR 23.3, 1895) Jesus is the only divine being that had the personality of humanity, and it is therefore only the Spirit of Jesus that can be divested thereof, and not another being, called God the Spirit. Jesus is a person with a personality, if we receive the HOLY SPIRIT, which is JESUS CHRIST we receive HIS Omnipresent person or Spirit which is divine. (NOT the Spirit of a third being called God the Holy Spirit, that is nowhere mentioned in scripture.) It is Jesus that fills the office or position or person of HOLY SPIRIT. (EG White uses office and person interchangeably) Jesus is the Comforter, not another being that never experienced being human. “THE SAVIOUR IS OUR COMFORTER. This I have proved Him to be.” - E.G. White, 8MR 49.3 “CHRIST IS TO BE KNOWN BY THE BLESSED NAME OF COMFORTER. ‘The Comforter,’ said Christ to His disciples, ‘which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you, [John 14:26 quoted]’” -E.G. White, Ms7-1902, Jan 26, 1902 Here is a vew more quotes "The act of Christ in breathing upon his disciples the Holy Ghost, and in imparting his peace to them, was as a few drops before the plentiful shower to be given on the day of Pentecost." (E.White, The Spirit of Prophecy, Volume 3. p. 243)
      "The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ, which is sent to all men to give them sufficiency, that through His grace we might be complete in Him." (Ellen G. White, 14 Manuscript Releases, p. 84)
      "Christ declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift, the Comforter, who was to take his place. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,- the soul of his life, the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the world. With his Spirit Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin." (E.White, The Review and Herald, May 19, 1904 par. 1)
      "While Jesus ministers in the sanctuary above, HE is still by HIS SPIRIT the minister of the church on earth. He is withdrawn from the eye of sense, but His parting promise is fulfilled, 'Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.' Matthew 28:20. While He delegates His power to inferior ministers, His energizing presence is still with His church." (Ellen G. White, Desire of Ages, p. 166)
      "The reasons why the churches are weak and sickly and ready to die is that the enemy has brought influences of a discouraging nature to bear upon trembling souls. He has sought to shut Jesus from their view as the Comforter." (Ellen G. White, Review and Herald, August 26, 1890)

      @@francois1546 Jesus is our Comforter, and the Holy Spirit is ANOTHER Comforter. John 14:16 Jesus sends the Spirit in His place to act as our Comforter. This is why Mrs. White says "the Saviour is our Comforter". It is not Jesus, for He is not here (John 14:28), but the Bible and Mrs. White plainly says the Father sends the Spirit (John 14:16) as His REPRESENTATIVE, ANOTHER Comforter.
      The Saviour was pointing forward to the time when the Holy Spirit should come to do a mighty work as His REPRESENTATIVE. The evil that had been accumulating for centuries was to be resisted by the divine power of the Holy Spirit. {AA 47.1}
      The lapse of time has wrought no change in Christ’s parting promise to send the Holy Spirit as His representative. {AA 50.1}
      A representative represents ANOTHER.
