Creating the DIY Nature Design Studio

  • For many years now, I've imagined having a proper Nature Design Studio to work from and create projects. It never made sense to create something like this until I began building out the current Animal Room. However, I wasn't able to really get the ball rolling until a few months ago. I was tired of dealing with mess and lack of organization issue. I knew that creating a space like this would help significantly. There's more that I need to do with it, but I'm so excited to finally share this with you. Enjoy!

This is several months in the making and I'm so excited to share it with you all! What is your favorite thing that I did and what else do you think I should do with the space? I have a few awesome features in mind that will likely all have separate videos that I know you'll enjoy. Stay tuned for those and let me know what you think thus far. Have a great weekend SerpaSquad!

I really love the recessed lighting! Like you said, it really sets the space up at another level! The only thing I might recommend is a small spotlight on your glass shelves so you can see your butterfly and revival plant better!

Thank you for sharing your ideas and process of work! ❤

What an era to live in, knowing that when a label maker is mentioned a bunch of stationary nerds are cheering alongside you from across the screen. This video was super satisfying to watch, with a lot of clever and pretty solutions to organization. The botanical baskets are the real highlight to me, absolutely stunning visually and from a practical standpoint. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you, and I hope this awesome studio serves you well!

I have been a part time artist most of my life, painting and sculpting. I retired a few years ago and decided to become a full time artist and craft maker. I have learned some new techniques like sculpting in wool and jute twine, also I have incorporated macrame. Well purchasing the supplies to make these projects is not simple, you can't just buy one thing, you need a dozen. Then there becomes the issue of storing all this stuff, including finished projects.
Your previous pictures before your new workspace resembles my house whenever I am making something. I can also completely relate with you how difficult it is to be inspired to create, knowing you have to first dig it all up, and then put it away; not to mention forgetting what you have already purchased and then re-buying it.
Your new workspace is completely awesome and beautiful! Your carpentry and building skills are incredible, I don't have either of those. I can see how you will now be much more inspired to create something new.
One day I hope to have a studio or workspace, but knowing how much space I will need and how to lay it out, is overwhelming.
Thank you for this video, and best wishes to you
    Tim
