MOVING TO SYDNEY WITH A GERMAN SHEPHERD - LIFE UPDATE

Shadow and I moved from Christchurch, New Zealand to Sydney, Australia!
This is an update of our life for the past 3 months - what / how / when / who, the journey, the decision and how I moved my German Shepherd internationally!
Shadows travel crate was the PP90 (52 x 31 x 33 inches)
Tips for if you are travelling with your dog internationally:
- book the pet transport early! as soon as you book your own tickets
- make sure you test crate sizes well beforehand!
- check all visa requirements for yourself
- check all vet check / dog transport requirements (export certificates etc.)
- make sure you have an appropriate lead /collar at the drop off (this will be cable tied to the crate)
- make sure you organise someone to pick your pet up at the other end (if not travelling together)
- make sure you have food bowls, beds, supplements etc. all ready for your pet at the place they will be staying! I bought everything in advance and had it delivered to the first apartment
- they are allowed one item (blanket etc.) inside the crate while they travel

Wow. That sounded like quite a journey and huge life change that I don't know if I could have done that and started over again. New Zealand is beautiful, what made you make that transition? Thank you! Yeah, he adapted pretty fast and was comfortable very early on. The one thing that took a little bit longer was getting comfortable with all the different noises living in an apartment 😌
