- Hello everyone! Welcome to the first edition of Simple Saturday Sews with So What If I Sew (yes I love the alliteration!) and this week our first project will be the @TillyButtons Tabitha T-Shirt which I have made in Red Jersey from my local haberdashery and fabric shop, A&M Textiles.
I created this video series because lots of us(including me) are struggling for sewing time now that we are back to commuting or working in the office or just back to our normal busy lives. I wanted to find quick and easy dressmaking projects you could do in a few hours and still get the enjoyment of sewing.

Stunning red colour! In my experience you get the best t-shirt and stretchtop pattern by tracing a shop bought top that fits you well. There can be such small details that make a lot of difference in the fit. Try to be very accurate when you trace and measure your garment a lot.

It takes a while to stick together
Can you please let me know what you meant by "Tilly does not design for my body type"? I wish designers were more forthcoming with this information. I know some are, sadly none seem to design for a rectangular body shape - at least not in my travels. New Singer Serger too? A lucky gal. I am enjoying the new series!
So it’s just my experience rather than a fact but I find her pattern block/size measurements to be very rectangular and I find I have a four size difference between my bust and waist for example. I also come up as a size 14 in her patterns where as I am normally an 8-10 so overall I’ve not found her block to suit my body very well but that is just my experience!
Beautiful make and a lovely colour on you but I believe that there are better T-shirt patterns to suit you than this one. I’m a very different size and shape but my favourite is the Waves & Wild Cuppa Tee.
