Very direct, thank you. I had called a repair guy, as I couldn’t get the silly “permanent spring clip” off. He helped me along & told me there was a new clip with the part; sure enough, it was just caught in the valve. The clip release was way on the underside, so I turned the pump & could access the release. The repair guy was so impressed I was taking it on myself, he offered me a job. LOL Honestly, I don’t know how guys get access in some of these areas. Females hands & fingers are so much smaller.

@@bobspanner - ikr? When I ordered the part, I watched a repair video and the Bosch Dishwasher in the video did not have the plastic covering like my model. When we tipped ours over we were shocked to discover it was not going to be as easy as the repair video showed. Then it was a frantic search to find something that would help us, and thankfully I found this video.

Wow that really helped. I think I had more time in research than the actual repair. I think it was 45 minutes total time even with some little mishaps. The simplest thing of plugging the orange and black connectors in really eat my lunch. I actually had to pull the unit out after having it installed to look at why I could not get them plugged in. My advise is the black one goes in first and then the orange one last. You can actually plug the orange one in off-set and then the black one will not go in. Found that out the hard way.
Thanks for posting this as it was a huge help and made this job go really well.

This video couldn't have come at a better time - my Bosch SHE68T56UC/09 stopped heating, would skip 30 minutes or more of the cycle, and give me the E09 error. The dishwasher in your video is identical to mine on the inside, so I ordered the part (#12008381) and decided to give it a go. You easily saved me a couple hundred dollars in repair costs. Thank you!!

Great video, thanks. I have a Neff S511A50X1G/48 and just fixed it following this guide. I managed to do it without pulling the dishwasher out though - there is a front panel below the door I could remove and there was /just/ enough space to do the repair through there. It was fiddly and I had to use a torch but still quicker for me than removing the integrated dishwasher would have been. I definitely couldn't have done it without following this video for the precise steps and movements needed to switch out the pump. Thanks!

thanks for the video, I have replaced the heat pump on my dishwasher very easily with your instructions. One comment: I have notice that some of the cycles time now has doubled, so the short cycle, which is 29 minutes, now runs twice. It is somehow also more noisy than before, i am trying to figure this out. I bought my spare part directly from Bosch, called the customer service and they said they are not specialised enough to answer my questions on a spare part i bought from them.

Thanks for the great video. E09 error coincided with tripping the RCD circuit. £80 from Amazon for the heat pump. My six year old Siemens dishwasher was just like the one in the video except that the cover on the control unit was clipped at one end and trick to prise off. Other than that simple enough to swap the pump even for a novice like me. Better than buying a new dishwasher.

I did this repair! I’ve done a few other appliance repairs and this wasn’t the easiest, but it was mostly related to the position you had to put yourself in. My order of the new part left out the new clamp so we bought a c-clamp at hardware store. Running the first express round and will check for leaks before we put trim pieces back! To get the old motor off, I found the clamp impossibly tight, so I did gentle wiggling and was able to get enough looseness to slide off the original clamp. Getting the control panel loose was harder than it looked bc I didn’t want to damage it. Thanks for empowering me to do this! UPDATE: Ran an express load and pulled out, NO LEAKS!

Thanks, great video! I have just removed the broken pump (checked the resistance with a multimeter) and waiting for the replacement to arrive home. The only doubt is why this is happened? Filter was really clean, the engine in the pump was working fine and I didn't see any problem until the E09 appeared. I hope it was the age of the dishwasher (8.5 years old) that made this possible, otherwise I am worried it can happen again soon.

You’re right, it’s just age related. Bosch went with a new type of circulation pump that has a heater added to it.
The wire used for the heating element is too thin and breaks causing a no Heat dishwasher.

@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Thanks, I actually removed also the heating element inside the pump as I wanted to see where it happened. I found several burned points, I suppose one of them was the culprit and the problem was just ready to happen. Quite annoyingly it happened the 1st day of the year :D
I have seen some videos that explain some ways to repair it, but it will change the resistance and I am a bit worried that can cause problems to other parts of the machine. So, I will just stick with the original plan and change the whole piece thanks to your video.

This was very clear and helped me fix this problem. I've had this Bosch for 2 and 1/2 years and never loaded it with un-rinsed dishes - yet still the heat pump failed. Couldn't find any stuff in the one I took out, so not sure why it would fail. After two Bosch dishwashers with problems (earlier one had a plastic handle that broke and replaced twice in five years - very poor design flaw) and this one never completely dries the dishes like my last one did (although it was a Bosch). I'm inclined to invest in another company after this one, but wonder if none of them are as good as they used to be. They've gotten fancier and more complex, with more options to fail, I guess. Thanks for your very clear instructions. $100 and 2 hours of work later I'm sure I saved $300 in labor, and have the satisfaction of knowing it was fixed right.

@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel So much for Bosch credibility and reliability. A reputable company should stand behind their product and offer help. Not sure what companies do that. Thanks again. Glad to have made a contribution to you for your great help.
