My Whirlpool microwave looks similar, its like 4yrs old and it is definitely confused about the door status. Sometimes we take out the food and the microwave keeps giving the reminder beep as if it doesn't know I've already opened and closed the door. I'm going to use your method to change the switches. Great video!
This video is awesome. And I'm impressed how Whirlpool can have a product like this, in which this same issue can happen easily. Thank you for sharing your findings. Cheers!
Fits right in with their other appliances. My Whirlpool kitchen set lasted just long enough to make it past the warranty period before I had to start replacing parts.
Thank you. One of our switches got jammed back so it wasn't latching properly, and this saved me a LOT of trial and error trying to get in to reset it.
Would you share where you ordered your switches from. I'm seeing 26 for a switch. I know these are really $3 micro switches they taylor specifically for a product to be able to jack the price up. I had a similar issue this past summer with a safety neutral switch on an Outboard motor remote box. amazon wants $26-28 per switch.
Excellent ! I am a complete MORON when it comes to fixing things. So I had my iPad on the counter and followed along and now all is right with the world !!! Whirlpool wanted $149 just to walk in the door !!!
Im kicking myself now for not watching your video first, i switched the 2 fuses and like you said , it’ll run with door open, hoping its a fuse inside the cover, i canged the easy one to get to but it wasnt the one.. 😩

Still life on this thread? If you can help with a Whirlpool MWP 339 SB, resetting the door triggers? A service manual will also help. Thanks.

Amazon for about $10 for the 3 switches: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PF3CYDC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
