It honestly depends on what classes you're taking: for liberal arts classes where you have lots of books, I recommend getting them ahead of time. STEM classes are known to have changeable syllabi, so I would wait until after classes to confirm you'll actually need to buy those certain books. Hope this helps! :)
@@emelymonzon5066 You're all good! Most of them will email it to you before class, but you can also find it on Canvas (the website where all of your classes' web content will be hosted), usually under the "syllabus" or "files" tab. Sometimes you have to do a little hunting on Canvas to actually find it. Some professors will give you the syllabus on the first day, but most put it on Canvas or send an email beforehand :) Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thank you so much! I am a dual enrollment student and my accounting class starts in less than three weeks and I still don’t have my textbook 😬 God bless you❤️
So if I want to rent hard copy textbooks online, do I have to mail them back to the site after use or it just order and buy? I am more into reading hard copy textbooks. Online reading doesn’t work well with my head
where did you get your Jansons History of Art for Survey of Western Art?! I tried Chegg but I had to return it because it was in tatters! The bookstore seems like the next cheapest option..?
Loved your video! It was super helpful, although I have a question about renting and buying books from the sites you provided. Let’s say you buy a textbook but you need an access codes, what can we do to fix that? Is there a way to buy access codes separately? 🤍
When it comes to used books, access codes/cds/etc. usually aren't included. Textbooks with access codes have to be bought new most of the time, unfortunately :(
Thanks for the help Sophie! I havent attended college in 20 years so this greatly helps!
I found what I needed half the price, thank you so much
Glad it was helpful! :)
will be going into my freshman year this fall, when do you suggest i should buy my textbooks? before classes start or after? ✰
