Physical pain is a hard trial to bare, year after year with pinched back nerves and pain...and with family rejection too. More focus on eternal life is what is required of me I guess.

@@mikec6733 On going, as usual. Getting worse, can't seem to find the right shoes to accommodate my feet and back problems and it has been literally 6 months of trial and error. Still going.

@@mikec6733 I know, thank you, Broken Pilgrim. I never do, really, it is just a different life without the wholeness of your body. Yet, my mind has so much to learn, and I am glad for this journey to journey still with God and learn history of religious faith and traditions.

@@mikec6733 The same, over and over again. It is a journey that nobody would want to go through, but you must if that is what you got. It is like slow death...the body keeps wearing itself down and new problems keep arising. And then you suffer that some more trying to be strong and brave yet still bound.

Forgive me, but I've often thought that it's unhelpful to tell people that their prayer needs to be fervent and filled with faith, as that can create doubt about whether the prayer is fervent or filled enough with faith. Rather, just say that we need to pray to God, and who, having been instructed im this way, won't pray to God fervently and with faith?

Apparently god thinks what I need for salvation is blue balls

I have been praying for God's help to heal my brother's psychological problems and my parent's broken hearts for over 20 years. I am not asking for God to help me. I have seen no signs of help. It has only gotten worse.

Yeah but priests like this say, “it is for his salvation”. What a joke. They don’t care for our suffering.

I'd like to see an answer on your situation. Plenty of people suffer and simply die. Like kids, is that for their salvation too? I need a good answer for that. Or this is just a sham.
