I think J.J. McCarthy is making a huge mistake coming out this year. I’d say McCarthy should be about the sixth quarterback picked. Third round is about where I’d place him. I think Jeremiah is right on the money.
I feel like I can't take the dude in the middle serious. He said that Jayden knows how to avoid hits, dude got popped a lot this year because he doesn't avoid hits.

If you look closely at McCarthy's passes, he doesn't lead his receivers all that well. He also doesn't attack between the hash marks. He's a dink and dunk passer, and when he breaks out of the pocket, he runs recklessly downfield. He'll get killed bouncing off guys that way in the pros.

This is why I love this show. Sirles and Boone incorporate common sense into their evaluation.

Caleb Williams will face the same resistance Fran Tarkenton did. Tark's coach hated him with all that scrambling. It looks like sandlot ball, until you realize that he keeps winning.
I think in the NFL now it's important to have a competent Backup QB. Look what happened to the Vikings. I say if you have to, Draft a Backup QB this year's Draft as well.
Washington could still trade up to the 1 and take the hometown guy and bears get Maye and picks
If his coach only called for X amount of passing plays in the national championship game, then that's on the coach. If the other team can't stop your running game, why would you need to pass it?

Darnell Mooney was Chicago's wr2. He caught 31 of 61 targets. I'm with Boone. Drafting MJH or Odunze will increase Fields completion rate by at least 10% especially if they get a Center.
Completely agree with Sirles. Drake Maye looks like Justin Herbert, but with a better arm and a more upbeat personality. Caleb Williams might turn out to be a pissy hotdog. Jayden Daniels could be a more pass-heavy Lamar Jackson. After that, you have gunslinger Michael Penix, and 2-second passer Bo Nix. JJ McCarthy lags far behind, maybe middle or late second round.
