Forged by Kings in a distant realm, the legendary Excalibur has proven to be a force to be reckoned with. It is now available in an updated version which includes a brand new eye-catching, high-viz color scheme, improved propeller assembly, metal-geared servos, and even more carbon and glass fiber reinforcement, the Excalibur V2 has arrived! Its innovative design features things such as a cantilever forward-swept wing, V-tail tail surfaces, incredibly strong construction, and stunning lines.
Just like the legendary sword, strength is paramount, the Excalibur V2 is the perfect marriage of modern design and materials, with rock-solid engineering and performance. The entire model features carefully positioned carbon and glass fiber reinforcement throughout, this reinforcement has been increased on the V2. Super smooth EPO foam makes it super slippery to achieve the lowest drag possible. Quick connect PCB wing plugs, and a quick and simple screw-together system makes for a very fast assembly.
Power is provided by a pre-installed and extremely powerful 3542-800kv brushless motor, and an Aerostar 60A brushless ESC. The factory balanced V2 13x8 folding propeller has carbon-infused nylon blades and a full CNC aluminum spinner which is lighter, and stronger. The supplied, upgraded metal-geared high torque servos are pre-installed and connected to the control surfaces with super-strong, efficient ball links.
The Excalibur V2 is awesome, it climbs like a demon and the power-off vertical dives have enough energy to complete several maneuvers before power is required again. A vacuum-formed nose cone is also supplied so that you can remove the propeller and turn the Excalibur V2 into a very efficient, exciting, and fun-to-fly slope soarer.

Those who dont like or appreciate your unboxing's can take a hike. The majority of us do and thats all that counts. This is one pretty glider and I'm sure its going to be as fast as it looks. Love the fact you can use this as a hotliner and slope soarer too with a nose cone. The new colour scheme is a really nice selection. I just wish they had given it separate flaps but still looking forward to the maiden 13x8 is going to give this light model great performance 😁👍

Good looking model and I'm sure you will love the long flight time and full acrobatics hay. If you are looking for state of the art planes check out the all carbon fiber and glass models coming out of Austria and Germany. Fj5 and fk3 and of course the DLG.
That is one cool looking aircraft, will probably do 120 mph. Is the the elevators also the rudders? Maybe you do a video on how to setup the elevons.

Excellent review, this looks great, I have the Conscendo Evolution and I love it. I can't wait to see you guys fly this, hopefully it might be my next plane. And yes, its great that they re-released this, I also hope they do the same for the V70 Zephr. I would buy it immediately cause the sound of that thing is insane, but I missed out on it years back.
Oh Zephyr is one crazy bird.
The V70 Zephyr was pretty rubbish tbh, not a decent glider and a poor EDF too. I doubt they will ever bring that one back, it pales in comparison to the performance of the Excal in all regards.
My Moa (FMS) i mixed flaperons & spoilers. (1st time mixing). Went 100% up & down. Ended up being merely 20% up & down was perfect! 🤪😳

Its AS great as the concendo, IMHO, flying both. We were at the field flying mine & his Saturday. He added a 4s/1500 to his concendo to climb with me!🤪👍 (THEN i setup/mixed spoilers and flaperons to his concendo.
2 buddies have the (1 older & 1 newest version) eflite concendo. The moa on a 3s/1300mah cheapo battery is AS fast, as maneuverable, & glides as easy as theirs do, for less $$. (Not much less, but less. LoL!). I use an AR620rx, right aileron on ch6 & set it up with spoilers and flaperons. Originally, i was going to add flaps with a servo (Brian Phillips), but didn't want the extra weight.
Sailplanes are the martini of R/C.
I have the original with alu spinner and carbon reinforcements behind the wing. It is an excellent plane. I fly it a lot. I personally am not crazy about the new scheme. Looks like a cheesy Fila jogging suit from the 90s or something…

Good plane but £283 posted is a ludicrous price for us in the UK. £103 for postage alone? The old Excalibur was around £150 posted IIRC.
If HK can't fix the postage cost issue they won't be around for too long.
I enjoy unboxing videos but must admit that I view most of them at a 1.5X playback speed.
Another nice review - but when I go to purchase it its £179.39 and the only shipping option is from Global , so postage comes in at another (at best £89.00) worst £109.18 so that's a good (at best £268.39) - 286 Euros !!!! and thats before HMRC (Import tax) take a bite - its one expensive V2 for us meek mortals that live in the UK and have to purchase our aircraft.... thanks for the Video -
That is nothing my friend. I was also ordering a lot of stuff from UK in the past but not anymore.
@FlankerTanker, apparently the current issues preventing HK shipping from the EU warehouse to EU will be addressed in early March, so at that point shippin should get more reasonable again. It will never go down to pre-Brexit days though, especially sinced the EU and UK changed the rules on VAT to stop the likes of HK setting up warehouses locally but selling from the China entity to avoid VAT.

Its not bad plane my friend. Once in the hand you can see where the money is gone. But still its all so much more expensive lately. Not just RC planes. Food, gas....

I hear you my friend. This is certainly the case, but I bought an EFXtra the other day for $159. Best I can tell, it's about the same electronics. I can't see how this can cost almost twice as much. Maybe if it were a fiber glass, gel coated fuse I could almost understand it, but it's all foam and plastic isn't it? That's all. Best wishes Brothers. SALUTE!
