It's excellent business , done properly , no leaks or tapping up , no interviews or crap from the owner like Jim the tight arse. It wasn't 12m, it was under 10m which was confirmed by romano. Plus he is not a better sporting director. Funny as if it was the other way guarantee you would be saying ashworth better.

Sorry you got it wrong about Paul Mitchell Man Utd wanted him as DoS way before Radcliffe took over other youtubers said 9,10months ago, He also specialises in sports science, nutrition, physiotherapy. To get him for free when he turned down Man Utd plus the £10 Million for ashworth is the best signing so far for Newcastle
Rangnick wanted him but Glazers said NO! INEOS wanted Ashworth as DOF with either Freedman or Mitchell to be head of recruitment reporting to Ashworth (all this info has been said by tier 1 sources like Orstein and the Athletic). I would of loved Mitchell but we never wanted him for DOF under Ratcliffe, only as recruitment specialist

It's that Leipzig gig that excites me the most. They've (as in the RB group, not just Leipzig) been phenomenal at identifying young talent from all over Europe- if he was orchestrating all of their scouting and recruitment then he has a great CV.
I'm also DELIGHTED that the arrogant Radcliffe had to PAY UP for Ashworth- I was genuinely shocked by the attitude of Radcliffe and some Man United fans seemed to think Newcastle were behaving badly by expecting compensation. WE paid Brighton to get him, why shouldn't Man United have to pay like everyone else?! Sounds like it was £12m in the end, which is double what we paid Brighton for him.

This is some welcome good news after the PSR debacle. I was starting to think the grownups weren’t as grown up as I had hoped. Bringing this chap in has gone some way to reassuring me. He’s certainly on a par with DA and possible an upgrade. That said, with the behaviour of Ashworth and Freedman they seem to be a very Machiavellian bunch!
One thing I heard in the noise over DA was that this showed “the end of the Man Utd tax!” I guy I work with also echoed this to me. I suggested that he wasn’t seeing the actual significance of this. It’s kind of saying that the exceptionalism of Man Utd is over?

Love your analysis. On the right - we wont sign Nico due to wages, and Neto's injury record should rule him out - I have a feeling Madueke is the target, although I'd prefer Mbuemo for his versatility
100%. On Neto, not only is he often cracked, he is simply not prolific. 1 goal in 10 is not world class no matter how his agent will spin it.
fully agree on Mbeumo and i dont want neto. he isnt that good. goals per 90 0.12. Murphy is 0.23 and even almiron beats him at 0.14 we want a goal scoring else we may as well just keep what we have cos they work hard and smile alot

Thaiw is the perfect Schar replacement should we be lucky enough to land him! The plan here looks quite obvious. Burn, Schar and Lascelles are all at the end their careers. Trips is also getting on. Two seasons time we’ll see the back four of Hall, Botman, Thaiw/Kelly and Liveramento at nufc with Alex Murphy coming from the kids.

the majority of the names mentioned were sold for huge profits to bigger clubs thats how club survive and get pass the psr every year for homegrown talent and sales
I used to think the same, as it’s true, she does. But then I thought, is that a bad thing? Plenty fans put the neg on any given signing, nice for someone to look for the positives in everything.
