Funny story. I lived in a small mountain town and someone posted an ad looking to get an older Kenwood integrated amp from the 70's repaired. I like debugging so I got in touch. Was able to find a schematic online and so I dove in. Found a couple of bad parts, a zener and a transistor. $12 total in parts. I had told the owner I didn't want any payment other than parts cost. He was so happy to have his old unit working he insisted on giving me $50. The check bounced, and I got a bad check charge from my bank. No good deed goes unpunished.
That's awesome. I love to see people salvage and fix things. I'd love to have an old piece like that. Would be a throwback to when I was in my younger years.
You, SIR, are an absolute genius!! Watching you work is amazing! Repairing/restoring/rebuilding speakers is fantastic but this is just astounding!! Every time you restore or repair an item you reduce waste in this wasteful world of ours. In your videos you don't even edit any slight error you might make, you just correct it. I hope you make a really good living out of this because you deserve it. If you were to produce detailed instructional videos of your work I think there are people worldwide who would happily pay for them. Keep up the amazing work and I wish you all the best :)
He does not know that semiconductors are checked only in mode 1 Om! He checks them in the mode .. 1000!)) Om. In addition, what can he understand there when he simply stupidly touches the conclusions? So this is a video for people who do not understand anything in the repair of radio equipment ... In addition, at the beginning of the video, he shows a rusted apparatus spoiled by himself. And at the end of the video shows a working apparatus when he worked and was not spoiled by the author himself.. In short, all this is a fake video post!

Hellow I'm Rolando arbolante from phillipines.i'm very very thankful for your nice video Kenwood restoration because I have a Kenwood broken.but how am I going to let you repair it?please help me.i hope that you see my comment and reply.
Is it your humidity causing it to rust? In Sweden, you never see rust on hi-fi equipment, possibly if it is allowed to be outside under cover for several years.
Что он там измерял мультиметром без схемы? Не иначе сам инженер-разработчик KENWOOD ремонт производит. На память все номиналы знает. Из правдоподобного только работа кисточкой.

I am glad to see a still full of life audio gear brought back to life instead of going back to the landfill . Nice !
Wow. He got a topographic memory. I already loss track of the screws and parts. Great job !!!
I used this amp when I was 14-15, pretty powerful and hi-fidelity for the time. I still keep it.

It would be more interesting to see how he makes these things look old and rusty.

@@ivantroegubov9882 I agree...... This guy isn't the real Mr Electricity who started this RUclips channel.
@@ivantroegubov9882 I’ll second this, but add, who’d want to restore this POS anyhow?
Товарищ молодец, рад, что у него все получилось.

Электролитные конденсаторы также подлежат замене. В аудио технике это критично.
