BUUUTTTT.....! You don’t have to start your own rescue to help 🥰 It’s as easy as signing up with a shelter or rescue group as a foster parent! And even though this lady mentioned lots of her foster parents buy their own supplies, you don’t HAVE to do it that way. The rescue/shelter can provide everything you need and you just provide the animals a home and TLC until it’s adopted (or available for adoption as in the case of babies and animals recovering from illness or injury). Please go to your local shelters and ask about fostering! It really does save lives!
exactly - most rescues provide everything for the pet while it is being fostered. food, supplies, vet care bills, and medications. all the foster provides is a loving and safe environment to learn house rules, boundaries, social enrichment and training.

My husband and I been fostering for over 10 yrs and I keep telling him we can write off the things we buy ourselves cause the shelter don't give us much Litter food and toys and gas and my husband don't get this and still does it all and pays for it all . So how does write offs work and how do you get your money back at the end of year ?

That's great! There's always a need for rescues.
You can take in funds if you have a non profit, it's different from having tax exempt status 501c3. If you have a non profit you can accept donations.
