My 2022 Suzuki Gixxer 250 gives a mileage of 38-40 kmpl in mixed conditions (city+highway) with a pillion. But I have gotten around 44 kmpl twice on the highway with a continuous cruising speed of 70-90 kmph without a pillion. If my budget was less then I would have gone for N250 because it is also a good bike. It has good cruising speed even though it has only 5 gears but Bajaj has tuned that 5 speed gearbox with taller gears. So please don't fight over Gixxer or Pulsar. Both the bikes are really good in their own unique way.
so, using the N250 from 1 year, been to laddakh, spiti, kashmir- that's an amazing bike- performance,comfort, brake, and build quality is so good- i can't believe its a Bajaj.
I own first batch, first Gixxer 250 (naked BS4) in Pune. Till date the bike has given mileage of 38 - 40 in city, around 33-36 in heavy traffic and more than 42 on the highway. I do use the NGK spark plug and always use Motul 300v engine oil. The O ring chains are still working well for me. Kms around 40,000 done. Top speed attained - 143 (With pillion 137). Pillion comfort is average. And even seat comfort overall is average. But the engine is very refined, nimble around corners. Power is enough to attain 3 digit speeds with ease. I bought this bike because Suzuki mentioned from the house of Hayabusa & indeed the adrenaline is pumping. Till date this bike never gave me single issue. I repeat not a single issue till date. Never trust reviewers blindly and check with people who bought this bike. I agree with the service parts issue but delay of 10 days is fair enough. We get the quality for the 2 lacs worth money spent. Pulsar would give you problems on refinement levels in near term. My cousins use the same and we know the issues with N250. There is no comparison of quality levels, suzuki does much better job
I guess it would be fair if you compare Gixxer with Dominar 250 with both making almost similar power figures and same price as well. Pulsar N250 is more of a commuter with an extra dose of power for those who do long distance commute of around 70-80 kms. Its comfortable and quite fuel efficient as well. And one more thing Bajaj spares are much easier to get then the Suzuki.

As a Pulsar 220 owner which i am riding for the last 11 years i can say this much Pulsars are not trash at all,every company has their own issues,the price difference is a key factor in our market,i would go with the pulsar any day to save the 50k for protective gear and what not & trust me.. pulsar is going stay with you as long as any other bike if not more with proper maintenance.. I hope i didn't offend anybody,may god bless everyone & ride safe guys..
Being a owner of Gixxer 250 for almost 2 years everything is great but spare parts availability is the biggest issue 😢 Every time you have to place order then wait for 10-15 days or even more. Only oil filter is available in SVCs.
Either the market is blind or you are blind. The Gixxer 250 hasn't sold good numbers since its inception. People prefer Fz25, Duke 250 over this. It's a very middling product for what you pay.
When I bought the pulsar 250 1 year ago, the price difference was 40k and I knew the figures were better on the Gixxer but the engine refinement, exhaust sound and most importantly the looks of the pulsar really made me choose it!
Its subjectively personal opinion. But as of International design standard, Indian bikes are ugly. Low tanky height, High and very big head section, Too much space between The head and Tank..etc. Even a small thing can make the bikes ugly just like a human face
It's disappointing to see Gixxer being very underrated.. It has very good looks and performance.. The main problem is with Suzuki's poor marketing, network, after sales, ans they failed to update it according to time.. This is not only the case with Suzuki, but every single Japanese brand.. They never update their lineup and they are just busy selling scooters and commuters.. They should learn something from TVS!

The main problem is SF 250 has ugly headlights. We are in an era where people even buy RC 125 (low performance but sporty look). Even a performance enthusiast has to give up on SF 250 due to highly unattractive look (as compared to R15, RR310, RC 200)
As a (mechanic and gixxer 250 owner) I will say n250 is not competition for gixxer 250 .(Gixxer 250 having 4 valve , 6speed gearbox, suzuki SOHC camshafts motogp derived technology , patterned oil cooling system with radiator, fans.) After cbr 250r Gixxer 250 is a powerfull and refined 250cc. Only a true bikers can know this . In a engine performance there is lot of difference between gixxer250 and n250 .
he said 30k difference, but there is close to 50k difference. In many states the price of the gixxer 250 (non sf) is more than 2.5 lakh, which is not at all a value proposition

Suzuki should give attractive colour options in gixxer 250. It gets most boring colours among all Suzuki bikes (I feel). Tough completion is coming. On the practical side, the seat is narrow and curved up at the rear. With the wide handle bar and rearward foot pegs, sitting on it for two hours or more is almost impossible particularly when you encounter bad roads, potholes. But there is a solution. I scraped my seat on the top to make it plain, it is now wider, probably little harder but it is definitely much more comfortable to sit for longer hours.
Gixxer is far superior to pulsar in every aspect, be it power delivery, refinment , gear shifting or fit and finish. It is a very reliable and fun to ride engine. I would say go for pulsar only if your budget does not allow gixxer.
The value offered by pulsar n250 is really great. With some extra money, the bike can be geared up for touring, and still it would cost less than gixer 250. Whether it's a city or a long ride, comfort matters. Also, 80-110 km speed is good for touring, and I don't think missing the 6th gear would be a big issue for pulsar. Gixer can beat pulsar in only one point, that is higher cruising speed due to the sixt gear. In favour of gixer, I would say, spending the extra money will be rewarding, as this bike is really great for its price, and it's designed for Indian road. If they somehow reduce the price and keep it under 2 lacs, the competition will be much greater.
Tbh Pulsar design looks Very Bihari Bihari deisgn unnecessary cut edges. But this Suzuki design kinda sleek smooth and with a badass colour Japanese always wins if ur bike enthusiasts you will get it.
I brought Gixxer 250 ride connect recently (August 2023). I am bit disappointed because of hard clutch and very hard gear shifting. Pillion seat is too high. It is very difficult for pillion especially women to get on to bike. Wrist pains too much while riding with pillion especially in traffic because we have to lean some what forward. It is not fun to ride bike. Let's see after first service if there is any further improvement. I like my old hornet 160 when coming to handling.

Bhai subha 8 baje service center Jaata hu na service k lye... tab bhi 10 pulsar platina wale mujhse pehle wahi khade hote hai. Do consider that bajaj is famous for commuter segment bikes. And even a large service center can not cater the volume of bikes that come in for service.

As a big youtube channel first of all you have to know the performance and mid range performance motorcycle. First mistake is comparing GIXXER250 with n250. Gixxer 250 is powerful and refined motorcycle by Japanese and n250 is mid range and nice low end torque performance motorcycle . I am not degrading n250 . But This video means like comparing scooter with motoscooter😂.
Dont take any bike than Gixxer 250 or MT15 in this segment if you want a durable bike. Trust me that 40k difference is the added lifespan of your bike plus the resale value is much better than the pulsar.
SIMPLE - JAPAN ENGINE IS ALWAYS THE BEST Being an INDIAN I AM A PULSAR FAN IN FACT I OWE A BS3 DTSI 180CC FROM 2009. BIGGEST DRAWBACK IN THE PULSAR AND THE NEED TO IMPROVE IS 1. Including the 6th gear, for that final punch. 2. Bigger & better tyres. 3. A Good quality wind shield. 4. Colour options are too outdated & old. 56K on Road Difference is not a joke. Pulsar N250 is far more value for money. For 2.17lakh one would opt for Dominar 250. Which is far better than both of them.

Mileage depends on load on the bike and how many times you applied brake during ride . If 1 person have a 50 kg weight and he rides any bike and second person have 100 kg weight and he ride the same bike ....50 kg man gets more mileage.

Bro.. I bought Gixxer 250 naked last month.. Past 1 month im unable to reach 4k rpm...I thought Showroom locked the rpm due to new bike.. but When I gave service yesterday they mentioned that they didn't locked it and did service. After service they mentioned air filter some paper in it...thats the reason... After I tried... Maximum I can reach 5k to 6k rpm with vibrations.. they said crusing speed 100 to 110..but I feel bike pressurd to reach that speed...and when I saw few RUclips videos they are easily going 7k 8k without much pressure... Does my bike have any issues? Or new bike will behave like this? Even I checked the rpm settings in instrument cluster...it was at maximum range... Anyone please guide or help me
the 0 - 100 on the gixxer is much quicker. Try pusing the revs a bit more. XD the pulsar is nowhere near in terms of performance. but yeah, your butt gets a better experience on the pulsar's saddle
I own this bike for a year now. Many will say Duke or Ns. Other bike may be better in terms of performance but honestly The Gixxer 250 is a Gem for its price with great manoeuvrability with very good milleage for 250 cc up to 38km/L. The bike looks great and of course has a refined Suzuki Engine with great japanese durability. Pros: Great manoeuvrability, Low Milleage, Cheap maintenance, Great looks, Build with Solid materials ,Great Engine technology which does no heat even during long rides(400km) Oil cooled. Dual Channel Abs is life saver. Light Weight(156kg) with Great Power to Weight Ratio which makes it the best bike in this segment for city riding. Bigger rear tyre. Cons: Hard seat which is not comfortable for long rides howerver suspension can be adjusted . Too basic no inverted forks ,very basic consols, become rusty if not well maintained, lower power and performance(SOHC) compared to competitors , Headlights is not that powerful. Not liquid cooled engine and no slipper clutch 😢. Howerver no bike is perfect and i recommend this bike for lower price & maintenance cost , Reability , Good aftersale value ,Its Great look with a refined Engine and of course its manoeuvrability. If you want power and Performance then go for Duke 250 or Dominar 250
Both are great machines.... Pulser N250 comes in a great budget price of around 1.75 lac on road.... Peoples who have a low budget can also enjoy this powerful machine..... Gixxer 250 one of the finest and most underrated 250 in indian market..... but suzuki never give a upgrade to this bike i don't lknow why? Both Naked and faired should get some updates like all led indicators, Bit of change in the design and i personally dont like their exaust design.... if suzuki work on this then i sales number definately increase
I have quite a different opinion about freshness of the bike... as gixxer sales very less it still is uncommon compare to pulsar which you can easily spot after the sales start.

I also suffer this for gs150 r . Great product vfm . 6 gear i got in 73000 in 2017 who give that in price
But i face problem in parts . Not even oil filter i get hand to hand and it's oil filter also cost 300 rs . In service Suzuki is worst .

Correction: the n250 goes up to 9.5k rpm after the first service and ECU update and has a sub 10 sec 0-100 time. I'm extremely happy with my bike.:)

N250 is the best, milage, slipper clutch, 3 abs mode, projector headlight, gear indicator, turn by turn navigation, exhaust note, top speed 140 above, dual channel abs.

56K on Road Difference is not a joke. Pulsar N250 is far more value for money. For 2.17lakh one would opt for Dominar 250. Which is far better than both of them.
what a joke🤣 dominar 250 is heavier, slower, more cumbersome in the city, handles far worse due to long wheelbase, and has less milage. it is better only on comfort

N250 is better n most affordable 250 cc bike with good exhaust sound also comes with punchy power,i have owned it for past 1 year experience is really good
Mileage depends on load on the bike and how many times you applied brake during ride . If 1 person have a 50 kg weight and he rides any bike and second person have 100 kg weight and he ride the same bike ....50 kg man gets more mileage.

Bro.. I bought Gixxer 250 naked last month.. Past 1 month im unable to reach 4k rpm...I thought Showroom locked the rpm due to new bike.. but When I gave service yesterday they mentioned that they didn't locked it and did service. After service they mentioned air filter some paper in it...thats the reason... After I tried... Maximum I can reach 5k to 6k rpm with vibrations.. they said crusing speed 100 to 110..but I feel bike pressurd to reach that speed...and when I saw few RUclips videos they are easily going 7k 8k without much pressure... Does my bike have any issues? Or new bike will behave like this? Even I checked the rpm settings in instrument cluster...it was at maximum range...
Anyone please guide or help me

the 0 - 100 on the gixxer is much quicker. Try pusing the revs a bit more. XD the pulsar is nowhere near in terms of performance. but yeah, your butt gets a better experience on the pulsar's saddle

I own this bike for a year now. Many will say Duke or Ns. Other bike may be better in terms of performance but honestly The Gixxer 250 is a Gem for its price with great manoeuvrability with very good milleage for 250 cc up to 38km/L. The bike looks great and of course has a refined Suzuki Engine with great japanese durability.
Pros: Great manoeuvrability, Low Milleage, Cheap maintenance, Great looks, Build with Solid materials ,Great Engine technology which does no heat even during long rides(400km) Oil cooled. Dual Channel Abs is life saver. Light Weight(156kg) with Great Power to Weight Ratio which makes it the best bike in this segment for city riding. Bigger rear tyre.
Cons: Hard seat which is not comfortable for long rides howerver suspension can be adjusted . Too basic no inverted forks ,very basic consols, become rusty if not well maintained, lower power and performance(SOHC) compared to competitors , Headlights is not that powerful. Not liquid cooled engine and no slipper clutch 😢.
Howerver no bike is perfect and i recommend this bike for lower price & maintenance cost , Reability , Good aftersale value ,Its Great look with a refined Engine and of course its manoeuvrability.
If you want power and Performance then go for Duke 250 or Dominar 250
Both are great machines.... Pulser N250 comes in a great budget price of around 1.75 lac on road.... Peoples who have a low budget can also enjoy this powerful machine..... Gixxer 250 one of the finest and most underrated 250 in indian market..... but suzuki never give a upgrade to this bike i don't lknow why? Both Naked and faired should get some updates like all led indicators, Bit of change in the design and i personally dont like their exaust design.... if suzuki work on this then i sales number definately increase

I have quite a different opinion about freshness of the bike... as gixxer sales very less it still is uncommon compare to pulsar which you can easily spot after the sales start.

I was looking for reliability and refinment and rideability comments from the host. Couldn't hear anything other than authentics. All RUclips channels only review new bikes and don't say anything about reliability and refinement. Other than reading specs

I’m 100% sure you got money from bajaj for this advertisement or you are marketing pulser because it is an indian bike😂. pulser n250 no way close to suzuki gixxer 250. Suzuki is an international brand and it is famous because of its performance, mileage,looks and longevity. I’m a professional rider and i prefer gixxer anyday over pulser.
Pulsar looks more slick and aesthetic than Gixxer.
