I like to think that even if the body is fully corrupted, the rage of the very essence of wrath still defies to be controlled by anything, even something as infectious as the corruption, shows how sin is a thing that is unavoidable no matter who you think you are.
I can tell that you were heavily inspired by classical music when making this, and it literally makes this song into a work of art. God, I wish more modern artists took inspiration from classical music

My headcanon is that the corruption has absolutely no effect on Retro aside from giving him an edgy color scheme. He just let himself be corrupted for the heck of it
or that the corruption did get to retro but differently to where it did change retro and he took control of it and made it how it is. His fighting corrupt bf because bf is normal corruption and retro is his own more powerful version of the corruption.
The music is amazing and has a good difficulty, worthy of a mod like yours, and the sprites they gave to corrupt boyfriend are too original, not like the other corrupted mods that only change the skin of boyfriend, good work RetroRespecter

This was such a fun mod to play on funky Friday. I always play on the hardest difficulty and it's just so freaking fun, even better that the music is top notch. You have to listen to this at almost max volume

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the beginning of this song. It's like: in a church, people are praying inside, crying for protection against the corruption, and as the crescendo grows, we see the "devil" in-between them. It's absurdly incredible. Period.
