    Fastway is a highly underrated band. They had a very good hard rock combined with an incredible voice. This band deserve much more recognition.

    I owned the 'All Fired Up' album on cassette back in the '80's-an album filled with great guitar riffs and equally great vocals.

    Thanks for posting! Love all the old Fastway albums. I just recently discovered the Katmandu record and really like that one as well. Would love to see Dave and Eddie do another hard rock album.

    The first two albums are absolute monsters of rock attitude. Waiting for a Storm is also very good. I wish I could find a candid interview where these two describe their process for creating their work. The combination of hard hitting riffs, along with Brother King’s excellent vocals, the lyrics were poignant and felt absolutely relevant. Add to that, the ATTITUDE Dave delivered every word with. Fastway will always be in my catalog and rotation, with Zeppelin, Queen, Styx, Vandenburg, Queensryche, Boston, Aerosmith, Badlands (Jake E Lee), Scorpions…

    'Waiting For The Roar' is a phenomenal album! Bought it on vinyl shortly after release, and still have it, and still love it. Loved how it was such a departure for Eddie and what he was known for with the mighty Motorhead. The orchestra sounds incredible too, and works soooo well! And Dave King... Just Wow! Amazing voice!! I enjoyed seeing this interview, as both really nice blokes, and Amanda kept it interesting with good and worthwhile questions and comments. Sadly, i never got to see the band live, but hey-ho. Have to add that i found it quite ironic that the last vid at the end was by Wendy O Williams (RIP) as she was apparently the reason for Eddie and Lemmy (RIP) parting ways. Lol! Fastway - you will forever rock my world, and i thank you for that... \m/ (:o)

    The "Trick or Treat' soundtrack is one of the top ten greatest hard rock albums EVER! Dave King is right up there with Bon Scott, Axl Rose, Ozzy Osbourne, and Rob Halford as the greatest hard rock/metal singers ever. I love Flogging Molly, but I wish he would return to this style of music at least one more time with a kick ass rock album. Sammi Curr was the shit!

    I'm convinced this interview where Fast Eddie mentions "we decided to go all Irish" was the turning point that eventually spearheaded Dave King's 180 degree turnaround to form Flogging Molly.

      Flogging Molly is NWO shit
      He only was cool in Fastway and very talented but sfter that highs in 1986 he gets more and more into Shitty Folk same like Harrison from Maiden

    Born too late me. I should have been much older in the 80s and I would like to have not been born in 1976 when so much excitement was going down. However, I was bathed in, immersed in music from the day I was born and I strongly believe that musicians like Eddie Clarke and beautiful wonderful here Dave King should be giving lectures and demonstrations to young musicians on how MUSIC sounds not the claptrap shite we have now. Dave King I never knew was Irish until now. He sings for a punk band Flogging Molly I've read. Fastway have good and bad memories for me. They were one of my earliest purchases for heavier stuff. I was in a constant battle all through school so it was a natural progression from hard rock to acid/psychedelic rock and now I love it all. I miss the natural flow in music, the HEART. Now it seems since the 90s the music has no SOUL. NO GUTS. NO EMOTION. EMO is not emotion it's crap! I think my education idea is a great one. You can always learn something. Just keep your mind open. If Dave King would ever like to be gotten in touch with I'd love to speak with him about how his music always did something for me. Rock on guys.

    Little By Little is a very good song, but the whole Waiting For The Roar album isn't that good. The FM direction with plenty of synthesizers doesn't really fit the style of Fast Eddie Clarke. It's actually the beginning of a bad period for him... The first two Fastway albums were much better ! Pure hard blues and boogie ! I miss this guy...

  • @kissthefox9141
    @kissthefox9141 5 лет назад +1

    Waiting for the Roar has always been my favorite Fastway album followed by On Target and Bad Bad Girls. I originally found them like so many did after the Trick or Treat movie. I don't like the first two albums as much as I do the ones above. I agree that at least during this period Dave King had one of the best rock voices ever. Lea Hart the later vocalist is also awesome if you like poppy sounding metal. Im sorry I don't like Flogging Molly at all. Just can't stand to hear him not doing metal.
