  • On a wide variety of platforms, Nigeria has been associated with words and phrases like: corruption, incompetence, bad leadership, among others. These are real, post-colonial problems for a nation was created rather than evolving.
Youth development advocate and entrepreneur Bello Shagari insists Nigeria can go beyond the pains of colonialism if she reinvents her own befitting political, cultural and social system. Founder of Barcode Mulitimedia, Bello Shagari is an entrepreneur and youth development advocate. He is co-founder and President of the Association of Young Media Entrepreneurs in Abuja and the Chairman of #SaveOurTomorrow. Grandson to Nigeria's former president Shehu Shagari, Bello currently serves as the Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Sokoto. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
