'Ex' has become a qualification in many fields. It starts from the level of local government. This must be looked into for various reasons, most importantly to enable the
in-position incumbent in any role to perform in his legitimate role. Only highly valuable 'Ex' persons to be listened to. He may be one such. But the subject really needs to be enquired into.

True Sir, in any democratic system to function democratically in true sense of the word, an independent Judiciary is an indispensable factor. Let's hope the learned voters of this country will help strengthening our democracy by dumping the party in the hustings which doesn't ensure an independent Judiciary during its government in the country. There must be a constant fear among the political parties to get punished at the general election it it doesn't uphold the principal of free and fair judiciary during its tenure in the government. For this to happen, voters need to be educated to understand the social issues and the importance of voting in a democratic country.

It makes me sad and depressed listening to many judges and senior lawyers blaming everything on executives and absolving bar and bench together from their own responsibilities.
If that is how one chooses to look at it..Executives have advantages and they are able to show result to the people on street...water, electricity, roads, education, housing, jobs, gas cylinder, subsidies, free grains, direct transfer of money, contact with executive political leaders..
And when one looks at Judiciary..what have they done directly for the peeole on street...delayed Justice, denied Justice, fear of law, stories of corruption..they could not do the one job given to them and spent a huge amount of time and resources fighting with executives of the Indian government which may be very necessary to upheld the constitution, that is what we would like to think..but had little or no effect on general public.
Roti, Kapda aur Makan toh mila..lekin Justice milega yaa nahi..iski guarantee koi nahi de sakta.
Sochne wali ye baat hai..and the next conference should be on this..
HOW BAR AND BENCH TOGETHER DONT ALLOW CASES TO LINGER JUST FOR THEIR SAKE..and provide quicker Justice, which they are supposed to be doing. Fighting with executives will then be appreciated if you do something good for general people.
The rant of independence of Judiciary seems like students ranting in JNU..azadi aazadi...what is the point? For doing your own primary duty no one is holding you back.. You have been independent since 1861, much before India got independence. People on the street should see the benefits of your independence.
Please stop blaming others and together bar and bench strive to provide quick and efficient justice to people of India. Let us feel proud about it.

It is always easy to condemn every other ones sitting as a judge selected by an opaque collegium system. When your appointment itself is not proper, ab initio against the basic tenats of the Constitution how on earth they have views on post retirement.
Further take up any case law that had been taken up by SC, for e.g. the anti defection law, we are yet to have clarity with so many judgements most of it pointing out in different directions and still there is a debate in SC on the process / procedure etc. etc.
Can we know how long this will happen before we get clarity on any law that is taken up by SC
Further in collegium, why not they have a secret ballot instead, when the judges can vote really independently ?

Government can neither enact democratic laws nor change essential basic structure undefined separation of power and power of judicial review to act within implied bounds of principles of constitution. Supreme Court judges appointed by collegium system and people ' representatives are subject to recognition and control of British colonialism not subject to recognition and control of constitution. Parliament and Supreme Court are British colonialism. So complaints of people victims of atrocities exploitation and corruption enfringement of rights not to be acted upon unless president of India MS Droupadi Murmur revoke authorization granted British colonialism for regulation of British colonialism structured colonial legislation in India.
