I can never forget this day! The Golden Eaglets were one man down. Indeed we made history, the first african country to win a FIFA tournament. But there were lots of bad belle people over this victory. I think KODAK who were the sponsors pulled out after. The couldn't imagine their poster for the next 2 years will be black boys😂😂. I remember looking forward to the NTA sports montage on Saturday to watch Victor's goal and Ugbade lifting the trophy. Those were magical moments. I hope the NFF sets up a football hall of fame one of these days to showcase the biggest moments in Nigerian football history
@@mammankuru7821 Ugbade and Akpoborie made it. Nigeria had too many stars in the national team at the time. Could Ugbade have benched Bright Omokaro at the time?
Listening to Commander Ebenezer Obey sing about this game in one of his songs.
I can't forget this great memories of classic Nigerian football in the U-17 Kodak world cup in August 1985 Beijing, China.
I was in Primary 2.
⚽🕘🇳🇬💚
I remember this goal. The Golden Eaglets did Nigeria and Africa proud in China way back then in 1985.

Me too. I remember watching it! It was crazy!
I too remember this event back then. I was 11 years
Rest in peace Christian obi my dear brother 😢😢😢,he was one of the goal keepers
These nigerian players were very young and talented
The captain Nduka Ugbade of this team is now the current u17 golden eaglets coach in Nigeria
This is the greatest goal ever scored in the under 17 category of the world cup.
Very similar to the Kanu's winning goal against the Brazil at the final of Atlanta '96 Olympics
Mercel Witeczeks Germany faced the stiffest opposition from the Nigerian team. It was a wonderful match.
Nduka Ugbade
That's when Nigeria had Team
Some of them have been played for the Nigerian National Team 1994, 1998, 2002..?
None of them made it to the Senior Team
