You want asymmetric CV matches? Just play that brawl mode... Often enough one team gets CV and DD and the other gets a single DD... Is so balansed and fun
As a bb main, I'm always happy to see destroyers getting their just desserts. I'd say though, that any three players working a single target in a coordinated fashion will garner good results. The Ise though has the unique ability to blanket an area in torpedoes from any range. At least the torpedoes don't hit too hard. The guns do, but their shell velocity is really low.
The shell velocity is fine, the shell DRAG is high, so they start out fast, but beyond 12km they really slow down a lot. Ultimately it makes the guns ineffective at long ranges cos it kills the AP pen and accuracy. BB guns with Destroyer shell drag
I loaded in to a game in my Asashio, and was happy to see 7 BBs on the enemy team. Unfortunately, there were 6 Ise. I didn't last past their first flight.
There's a special place in hell for people who do this. Same level as people who brake at yellow lights when you both could of made it, and people who talk in the theater

Just what I thought, another brilliant idea from WG. Now you possibly can have 4cv"s and 6 ISE in a game, at mid tier where most ships have basically no AA. I will never understand the logic from that company. They seem to be slowly destroying their game bits by bits... At some point the frustration level of playing will surpass the pleasure and many will just quit.
You can have even more Ise. You can only have three in a division, but there was a screen capture of a game on reddit yesterday where the enemy had 4 ise plus 2 carriers. And 4 isn't the limit either. Someone in Comments supposedly had a 10 Ise Game (both teams together)
Better than island hugging cruiser at least you can evade it. 1v1 Beside who am I kidding there is Dutch cruiser coming soon everyone will have aircraft.
@@gkagara not a fan of island humping. I think HE/fires are very powerful and a big problem so don’t get me wrong. I’ve seen a few Dutch cruisers and that’s another bad idea. But put multiple Ise’s plus the potential for multiple regular cvs, what’s not to like. It doesn’t even matter to me how little damage the torps supposedly cause
@@jebes909090 Actually its pretty easy to evade a Single ISE in a DD, the Torps are really slow. ISE guns are best described as battleship guns with Destroyer shell drag, meaning they are very very floaty and ineffective at max ranges.... 17? Second flight time at 19km. For comparison thats about the flight time of Musashi shells traveling 30km. Arizona shells over that distance take maybe 12-14 seconds, quite a lot faster even if the initial velocity is the same, they made ISE shells very very draggy. By itself its fairly average. I can however see the planes allow for much easier focus fire. 3x ISE all shooting HE to break the AA and set fires, then follow with torps are probably going to get permafires and flooding pretty quickly. The Torps have low flood chance.. but when there are 24 of them, floods are gonna happen. So yeah, I'm still not convinced this is particularly OP compared to other ships. Division play IS OP , theres a reason why you see quite a few so called "unicum" players with 10-15 better winrate in division than they have solo... with A 3 man division, a 3 man tean of players with 50-55% solo winrate, all in division is probably going to win 60-70% of their games, simply by virtue of having at least 2 team mates who dont completely suck & 3 teammates actually working together.

He went straight to B4, he hid behind the island there, and he spent the whole battle doing nothing except for launching planes one after another. To the surprise of absolutely no-one, he ended up last on his team on XP. The cooldown timer starts the moment you launch planes, not after they've carried out an attack, so effectively he had access to an inexhaustible, continuous source of planes. Guess how much fun it was to have 1 CV against 2? Well done, WG, as always spot on. People complain about there being too many planes and BBs camping too much, so you introduce Ise, another carrier in disguise, and HMS Repulse, another "long range sniper" as you mildly put it. WG, how about you actually sometimes play this game of yours to see what it's like?
just faced 3-ISE division today. In my Graf Spee. Me and 3 BB charged at them. Fuso died first before reaching 1/3 of map. Dunkerque and New Mexico behind me. I took the Spear-Head position. I managed to Torp-sink 1 and our 2 BB took care of the rest. We had 3 ISE too. But not division. Managed a Banzai-Win. Point, nobody want to die within first 2min like Fuso did. IJN BBs are long.
@@DocBeech like I said elsewhere, it's not about the damage they do. The problem is that there are several squadrons, which cannot be de-planed, constantly in the air PERMA-SPOTTING your DDs. An Ise division is not that much of a problem for your BBs but it's a critical problem for DDs, which have no counter-play.
Well it used to be that lower level play was a place to go when higher tier games and the bs cvs and radar got too annoying. Now that refuge has been taken away. Thanks WG!
I think the cooldown of tropedo air bommer should begin after the tropedo drop from airplane. This might help the enemy ship to have more room to brief after the tropedo airplane attack.
You really think the Ise is going to ruin low tier? Lol...she is neither a full BB nor an actual CV. Her torps are slow, and weak only 4 turrets. you need a big angle to bring them on target. no auto dmg control. no fighters. but good AA. She is a novelty.

The biggeest "cancer" in this game, the thing that truly fucks it up, is people bitching and moaning. Fucking CV's are a real ship and were around at the time so stop your little girly whinging and actually learn to counter or work around them properly. You should be taking issue however with the planned airstrikes bullshit, at least the cv carries their planes with them. Calling in planes from an external source is complete bullshit which is why I'll be stopping playing in the tiers they will be in.
Worst thing is t6 MM always got double CV match, imagine, 2 triple Ise div and 2 CV in one side, then that will be 8 individual squad flying on the map, and t6 shitty AA gonna handle that? The best part is, Ise doesn't have any limit on their plane.

Oh god, straight up bullying those poor Destroyers and anything with little to no Torp Protection. Tier 5 SUFFERS! Destroyers SUFFER if focused! Most Battleships laugh at you and go "eh that will buff out". Well at least they are Balanced, still annoying as hell though. Yeah the difference in Flak between Mid tier and High tier is nutz, particularly on Battleships. Like mid tier is anything from 0 to 3 or 4 maybe, meanwhile tier 8 and up have 3 to 8 Flak.
the worst part is dds are meant to counter bbs and adding a ship that counters the counter is too fking broken. dds they live by their concealment and if they are spotted they are gonna die or be crippled especially if there is a ship like ise in the game cause if they smoke they die if they don't smoke and try and dodge the torps they still die by the opponent team worst of all the dutch cruisers are coming to the game so that is 3 different possible class that can hunt dds with planes
You can add dd that do the same thing. The torps almost no damage. If your a dd that cannot dodge torps then learn. The CV rockets will not hit d d. Bb AP does nothing. Torps spotted from gone. Dd stealth by air makes them impossible to spot and attack by your self. Dd gotten buff after buff and if this is a Nerf which its not then good.
I got this ship and its meh by yourself but WOW in a Div - waiting for WG to start dropping in T7,8 & 9's - this is forcing people to DIV up and work together instead of hide behind an island - Your content is a GOTO every day! GREAT WORK SLM! very entertaining your team is amazing!
One of the things that makes these so brutal is we're conditioned to expect big damage from torps. So turning broadside to avoid 1 of these feels like the right decision, but it's a death sentence
I ran into a triple Ise div on the release day. I was in the Iron Duke, and got the front seat view of 3CV vs no CV game. Everyone was complaining about balance XD
I remain convinced that subs will actually counter a lot of this. HE spammers in cover behind islands? Can't stay there, you're a sitting target for torps. Carriers and BB campers at the back of the map will have to worry about being attacked out of nowhere. It will suddenly be very important to support your destroyers, or the subs will tear you apart.
The iowa was also planed to be changed into a half aircraft carrier aa well and had buleprints made but was never came do to cvs still being better. Wonder if wg will bring this type of iowa to game
Actually if you review the impact they had on the matches, thats perfectly accurate. Lost one by being stomped. Win by entire team stomping enemy V Close, practically a tie, decided by the enemy Destroyer making a couple of mistakes at the end. He got surface spotted and shot. Then he left his smoke when the 2 ISE were being spotted by the enemy BB.. and got himself killed. If the DD had played that better he would have used guns and supported his ISE, they would have won the match.
Sure this is evil, but is it any different from any other RUclips vids featuring a division? It was also a very close game so did the division really have much impact? And would any ship not be in dire straights if focused by 3 BB's?
Honestly, I think Wargaming will limit the amount of hybrid ships per division. if that happens to be the case, than this video will be in the same tier as Yuro's "Welcome to tier X, Fuso" Mark my words.
Last night I was playing against an Ise and Ryujo division. The torpedo bomber spam oh god the torpedo bomber spam. I had a very fun and engaging game full of well thought out and balanced gameplay mechanics /s
I was luckily on the same team. This is the reason the Ise should be altered to be classified as a CV. This is nuts and it was just lame watching it happen ingame
You watched the video right? The last game was only lost because the DD made some mistakes, got surface spotted, lost most of its health... then instead of using his guns from smoke and supporting his teammate, he drove out of the smoke,got spotted again and killed. So very far from useless. 3rd game should have been another loss and would have been if the DD played a wee bit better and used his GUNS. The ISE could have bow tanked instead of ramming, set fires and combined the DD guns HE +ISEguns HE would have probably won vs the Solo ISE, just by setting fires and being a bit more patient. If anything these videos show that Triple ISE impact on the game is not that great .. 3 man division impact , regardless of ship, is much higher... 3 average players in a division working together will have unicum winrates for random battles.
So win 2, lost 1, with the 3rd being exceptionally close & down to the enemy DD making mistakes by being surface spotted. Not seeing that 3 ISE had any more influence than any other ships would have had in terms of actually winning.
the damage of the torpedo bombers is not a problem, it's the ridiculous amount of control they afford to a the Ise, especially when there is 2 or more is coordinating. A DD is priorities just running, if you stop, your dead. Then again, do you want to die quickly or slowly
Went up against a 3 player ISE division this morning...each of them were 91k average players with over 60% win percentage. They finished 1, 2 ,3 on their team and still lost as I carried in a Zara. I don't believe the class is overpowering...then again I was in a maneuverable ship and not a slow BB.
As if T6 CVs were not enough against most ships at this tier with literally no AA we now have a Battleship CV that can division up and spam 24 torps in total and on top of that they have armour and guns to do additional dmg . Nice balance WG, I can clearly see this ship being t7 and be completely balanced
I love seeing people complain about it, its not like there are FAR more cancerous divisions out there, oh wait there are! 3 Thundererer division 3 Smolensk division 3 Belfast division Just a few examples... Player paranoia and PTSD from CV's is definitely an important factor here.
Hybrid gameplay is definitely fun, personally i don't really like Ise too much, she is slugish, difficult to get into position and gun angle is bad. If the hybrid stay the same as Ise, then i can't wait for the Tone.
Wargaming in a nutshell, introduce OP broken ship to sell a lot of it and fast, then nerf and introduce another broken mechanic to "fix" the previous fuckup...2 years without giving them any money and counting.

I seen a picture on WG EU forum where total of 14 airstrike capable ship was in a battle ( 4 CV, 1 Dutch T6 cruiser, the rest 9 was Ise ).
If you look it up in a dictionary, the words "logic" and "Wargaming" are actually defined as antonyms :)

A very simple solution is for the cooldown timer to start ticking after the planes finished their attack, not the moment they're launched.
Make it a consumable, even that this shit still toxic af.

Tbh tone carry better armament than Ise. Ise is bad because she's tier 6 I've played Tone in test and it is awesome. The damage output is higher.
I ran into a triple Ise div on the release day. I was in the Iron Duke, and got the front seat view of 3CV vs no CV game. Everyone was complaining about balance XD
Ise can singlehandedly make a T6 game plays like T10 game, which BB don't push

I remain convinced that subs will actually counter a lot of this. HE spammers in cover behind islands? Can't stay there, you're a sitting target for torps. Carriers and BB campers at the back of the map will have to worry about being attacked out of nowhere. It will suddenly be very important to support your destroyers, or the subs will tear you apart.

V Close, practically a tie, decided by the enemy Destroyer making a couple of mistakes at the end.
He got surface spotted and shot. Then he left his smoke when the 2 ISE were being spotted by the enemy BB.. and got himself killed.
If the DD had played that better he would have used guns and supported his ISE, they would have won the match.
Next time : IJN Tone with something like a Y-Wing

Sure this is evil, but is it any different from any other RUclips vids featuring a division? It was also a very close game so did the division really have much impact? And would any ship not be in dire straights if focused by 3 BB's?
Honestly, I think Wargaming will limit the amount of hybrid ships per division.

Last night I was playing against an Ise and Ryujo division. The torpedo bomber spam oh god the torpedo bomber spam. I had a very fun and engaging game full of well thought out and balanced gameplay mechanics /s
I was luckily on the same team. This is the reason the Ise should be altered to be classified as a CV. This is nuts and it was just lame watching it happen ingame
Ise is a better CV than implacable

The last game was only lost because the DD made some mistakes, got surface spotted, lost most of its health... then instead of using his guns from smoke and supporting his teammate, he drove out of the smoke,got spotted again and killed.
So very far from useless. 3rd game should have been another loss and would have been if the DD played a wee bit better and used his GUNS.
The ISE could have bow tanked instead of ramming, set fires and combined the DD guns HE +ISEguns HE would have probably won vs the Solo ISE, just by setting fires and being a bit more patient.
If anything these videos show that Triple ISE impact on the game is not that great .. 3 man division impact , regardless of ship, is much higher... 3 average players in a division working together will have unicum winrates for random battles.

So win 2, lost 1, with the 3rd being exceptionally close & down to the enemy DD making mistakes by being surface spotted.
Not seeing that 3 ISE had any more influence than any other ships would have had in terms of actually winning.

the damage of the torpedo bombers is not a problem, it's the ridiculous amount of control they afford to a the Ise, especially when there is 2 or more is coordinating. A DD is priorities just running, if you stop, your dead. Then again, do you want to die quickly or slowly

Hear me out… Triple Okhotnik.
Went up against a 3 player ISE division this morning...each of them were 91k average players with over 60% win percentage. They finished 1, 2 ,3 on their team and still lost as I carried in a Zara. I don't believe the class is overpowering...then again I was in a maneuverable ship and not a slow BB.
Can't wait to see the Dutch ships blast the ever loving crap out of CVs.

I took a punt on 25 small santa crates , and pulled the mysore and ise from them . Got to say i had t much fun in the ise lol .
I wish I would meet these DD players, those that I usually meet know well to turn into torps or turn out completely. These guys seem rather clueless.

As if T6 CVs were not enough against most ships at this tier with literally no AA we now have a Battleship CV that can division up and spam 24 torps in total and on top of that they have armour and guns to do additional dmg . Nice balance WG, I can clearly see this ship being t7 and be completely balanced

Player paranoia and PTSD from CV's is definitely an important factor here.
Hybrid gameplay is definitely fun, personally i don't really like Ise too much, she is slugish, difficult to get into position and gun angle is bad.
If the hybrid stay the same as Ise, then i can't wait for the Tone.

I'd hardly call ise OP. Shes decent, but not busted.
