- Some Aircraft seats have airbags. Please read before you comment. This is per FAA regulations and safety standards. Most commonly you’ll find these at aircraft seats that are in front of a partition/bulkhead. It all depends on how the respective airline configues their seats. “AND NO IT WILL NOT DEPLOY JUST BECAUSE YOU PULL ON IT HARD” it has a electronic module that senses the aircraft deceleration as well as your forward momentum.
Hope you enjoyed it.. thank you as always for watching and learning 🤙

Great info Stig, I’d never noticed these extra features. Certainly better than nutting that hard partition!
Indeed!
I have seen these on the sports charter planes when the seats face aft towards a table.
That’s interesting.
Yet another fascinating fact you’ve brought to us. Keep up your great videos!
Thanks, will do!
Thank Stig as alwyas for the videos and the great details you show us.
My pleasure! Thank you for watching 🤙
Wow, that left seat has zero leg room.
It’s not that bad. But then again I’m 5’6 😅 I can fit pretty much anywhere.
I knew this by company at my internship work on this! I worked on head path as an intern, which is to see how far forward the head moves
It’s quite an interesting study. The determination of gap needed
Thx, I flew on I think Cathay A330 around 8 y ago and my seat was equipped with this, always wondered how the would that deploy and how would it look like deployed.
Would look like a regular air bag. Just in your lap.
Awesome
👍
Nice......... details.
Thanks for watching
If can i ask... This airbag triggered by what?? When aircraft impact something.. Or it have sensor?
Activated by G forces. Much like your car airbags
I wonder how that would hurt
I suppose same way as in your car might feel
