- Parts of Britain have been struck by flash floods after some areas saw more than a month’s worth of rain in 24 hours.
Heavy rainfall has seen parts of Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and London submerged causing widespread travel disruption and damage to properties.
According to the Environment Agency, at least 45 properties have flooded across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Kent and the Home Counties.
17 flood warnings - meaning flooding is expected - were issued for England by the Environment Agency.
Areas affected by the flood warnings include Childswickham in Worcestershire, Leighton Buzzard and Luton in Bedfordshire and parts of London including South Ruislip.

It's amazing what happens when the Councils clean the drains regularly. You don't get bloody floods.
Yes! It’s exactly that, and also building on flood plains
Doesn't quite work like that. Ancient rivers and streams drained and diverted for building towns and cities, centuries ago, never forget where they came from.
@@sgb6476 Building on flood plains is very common of the problems! Let face it houses and building should never be at the bottom of the hills at the first place for the United Kingdoms. But it does only because of old Kings days back in centuries for peasants to lives down there on flood plains landscapes. if it were other way round and moderns generations solved it ?? UK would be way less problems. landscape itself need to be feed too for soils growths ect. Thousands of years later UK could be submerged and we won't be around to witnessed that just likes the Doggerlands
@@mikeomolt4485 yes, but once it’s been built on that changes it, where our modern drainage systems are looked after in Oxford there is no flooding, where they are neglected there is flooding
@@sgb6476 Someone downstream still got to deal with all that excess rain water from all those modern drainage systems.
Simple.... CLEAN the DRAIN'S
Check the weather radar. It infuriates me that the weather warnings were still showing Lincolnshire in the amber warning area long after it was clear that the heavy rain had gone south of that area and the most affected areas were going to be between Oxford and Bristol. The best advice for anyone worried about rainstorms is always to check the weather radar and put the animation on - that way you can see which direction the weather fronts are moving into and whether you are in the danger area.
This is man made 🤬spraying the skies continually here in Wales it never stops 🤬when we have the occasional warm weather and blue skies you can see the aeroplanes coming over day and night
Unfortunately the public are guilable and refuse to see what's being done
Big massive X in the sky.
Been a total piss take here near Leeds/Bradford.....As soon as the blue sky appears, so do all the planes spraying crap everywhere, followed by days of grey sky. People need to wake up as to what's going on...
There's no such thing as a flood I drive up and down this country every day and they're not cleaning out the drains especially in villages the drains of fill up with mud right to the top the council should get the bill
True but sometimes we just get downpours that the system can't cope with in one go
Go look up the black swan fallacy.
@@JamesDeanMichael80it definitely can't cope if drains aren't cleaned, which they aren't.
It's all by design as it helps promote the false weather narrative they like to push
Deliberate....
@@bradjones9625 fits the climate change narrative
Weather modification is a thing, but if you dare mention it you called a "conspiracy theorists" despite numerous historic news reports confirming that it does go on .....
amazing what cloud seeding can do
This is the product of letting verges overgrow, finally when they’re cut not picking up the grass properly and letting it block the drains
Allhamdolillah we need rain
Anyone else see the thumbnail and think you can't park there mate
I’m happy to live on a hill 😊,, let’s face it councils water boards in this country have seen these problems rise most years ,yet absolutely nothing at all to even address flood defences blocked drainage systems inadequate systems,,lots of money spent on debates consulting ect … but bugger all ever gets done..and that’s my 40 years experience of this problem.. nothing to see here
Omg... rain in ... England 🤯
Look there's water in that river omg
Is the Sun covering this?...or just royal crap?...
😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉 Halleluyah!
Someone should tell nature to stop it as it's gone past it's quota of rainfull for the month.
Blame Brexit for these problems.
Scottish weather in England, whatever next?
Carnt park there mste
cloud seeding
Always look on the bright side of life 😂✌🏼❤️
At least I have two legs
"i'm already at the sewage overflow pipes at my local beach with my mouth over the pipe, to save our british coastal seas..who else is doing there bit to save the planet?
Climate crisis Heay utter nonsense
I live in the North; my house cost double the national average wage over a 15yr mortgage; i don't live in a flood plain. These southern's don't know their arse from their elbow.
😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴
Many people will be thinking why electric transport in the future, what with the climate change making this type of problem more likely.
And there's the problem
(Thinking man made climate change is a plausible theory)
Expect a load of shit from our wonderful water companies!
