I was at this game in 1986, an avid 13 year old Chelsea fan sitting in the away end. 28 years later the trauma is still with me.

I was a Chelsea fan and saw both thumpings that weekend. West Ham won 4-0 at the Bridge but they were a good side. This was just woeful, Oh and that pitch sucked.

What is that horrible cheesy clappy song they play at the Bridge in a vain attempt to generate an atmosphere! The 1 - 0 win when we got back in the prem had an ok atmosphere I seem to remember, most of the Chelsey lightweights were so upset they couldn’t wait to get of the pitch LOL!

Well I was at both the home game against W..Ham and at Loftus Rd and as normal with Chelsea our Away support was much louder then the home support. That said we do not often sing as loud at SB even where I stood in the old Shed. Even today the Bridge can be out sung by the away support for large part of the game.

Season before Chelsea beat Qpr 1 0 at home drew 2 2 at Qpr. Season after Chelsea beat Qpr 3 1 at home drew 1 1 at Qpr. 81/82. Chelsea won 2 0 at Qpr and won 2 1 at home. 82/83. Chelsea won 2 1 at Qpr. Yeah you really had Chelses's number in them days

I suspect that between 1885 and 1900 at least, QPR were infinitely bigger than Chelsey, annoyingly they did have good support but the relative quality of people constituting that support is questionable.
