Miroslav, I'm really glad I found your chanel! I hope to learn so much from you. I'm a total newbie when it comes to colour pencils - I'm not at all confident in using them, but I really want to get to grips with drawing landscapes and portraits. Thank you for all the video's. I am in South Africa.
Miroslav, parabéns pelo talento e técnica. Maravilhosos desenhos e ensinamentos. É difícil encontrar quem ensine colorir elementos da natureza. Obrigado!!!
Great video, it inspires me to go back to my drawing days but I feel alittle bit overwhelmed by all these new pencil ranges and materials. Speaking of which, where can I get that sanded paper? It looks so great to work with, what brand is it?
One thing I'm curious about when it comes to your drawing is how these drawings of grass and trees and bushes, etc fit into a drawing with characters in it. One of the ideas I've had for a long time that I want to eventually see come into fruition, involves many characters (from a game I used to play), in a battlefield. I recently picked up drawing again after slightly over 20yrs. One drawing I have in mind, once I feel comfortable is drawing characters from a game I used to play, in perspective. This will include drawing characters in perspective, plus, drawing grass / bushes / trees from a distance (like what you do). Will I need to do this with sand paper? And how would characters fit into this? I hope I made sense with this question. I don't quite know how to phrase it.
Love your tutorials. Coloured pencils are very new to me. Question is about the paper. Is it a tan fabriano paper and then primed with gesso or does the gesso tan a white paper? Thanks
in order to do this without the white pencil after the darker sessions, should we draw tiny circles to leave for the white spots? I'm using regular Strathmore mixed media paper (white)
Hi Miroslav. I have learned a lot from you. I have Strathmore Toned Tan sketch paper-medium surface. the 400 series. Can you tell me exactly what paper you use for these tutorials with colored pencils? thank you so much, Debby
For those who never heard and for those who wanna share it. HERE IS THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.
In the third example, you used white paint to draw the flowers. It has never worked for me so far. The white color does not remain on the drawing. What's the secret? I also used some gel colors, but they just smear the drawing. I use Polychromos wooden crayons.
On regular paper all pencils have to be used that way. When you prime the paper with clear gesso or use sanded paper, you should be able to put a few layers on top.
also i cant seem to get the pencil sharp enough to make an impact large enough to leave as much colour as you do, I struggle finding appropriate paper and good pencils, can you recommend something good but affordable?

I'do a sketch on regular paper first to work out the composition.

@@dorothywicks9271 the paper was already tan. Clear gesso is transparent when it dries.

any paper primed with clear gesso or a fine sandpaper.
For those who never heard and for those who wanna share it.

@@MiroslavSunjkic Thanks sir
What type of gesso do you use? There are so many..And is sanded paper the same as 1000 grit sandpaper?
I use Winsor and Newton and Liquitex clear gesso
In the third example, you used white paint to draw the flowers. It has never worked for me so far. The white color does not remain on the drawing. What's the secret? I also used some gel colors, but they just smear the drawing. I use Polychromos wooden crayons.
The paper has to be primed with clear gesso or you have to work on sanded paper.
Dunno why but my pencils work the opposite way, I need to do the light green first and then add dark, is it different with expensive pencils?

Can't really see, how about close ups??
When you say "sanded paper" do you mean really smooth?
No, quite the opposite. It's covered with a primer.
