- India has been engulfed in riots after the world's biggest democracy suddenly stripped nearly two million people of their citizenship. As the nation's leaders ramp up Hindu nationalist rhetoric, a newly-enacted law has signaled to India's 200 million Muslims that they are the true target. This could mean that they end up in one of the brand-new detention camps quietly being constructed across the country.

One of the most manipulative interviews I have ever seen. The sentence where he says Muslims are not equals, 95% of the rest of statement is edited out. Whatwas said was a comparison of socially and economically poor with rich and powerful to show all people are not equals. This was entirely edited out.

@@vishal-ki3wk If you knew the difference between equity and equality, you would know what Swamy was talking about. His stance is very clear on this and well known. Equality is never desired, equity is.
In equality, you would provide the same thing to both the rich and the poor. That means, if you were distributing money [for example Rupees] then the world's richest guy would get a the same amount as someone who is dying of starvation, let us say a amount of Rs. 100. That should not be the case. World's richest guy does not need monetary help while the one dying of starvation needs all the help that he can get.
As for painting this person as anti muslim, his Son in law is musim and he has very good relationship with the guy.

These different kingdoms had their own languages, cultures etc... Britain is the reason why there isn't anywhere near as much divison as their was in the past, not that, that is a good or bad thing.

I watched the full episode on their streaming platform and I can tell you that this clip is basically the entire interview. The full version is maybe 15 seconds longer and the host does not let Dr.Swami complete a single sentence or explain his views and statements. This episode simply portrayed India in a negative light , without explaining any of the nuances and complexities of the CAA/ NRC situation. Poor journalism on VICE’s part.
