Ohh the mud-man (mummy) are so cool. I should make them act like this in SC4. Still have not finished this one myself lol. GGs Spriven thanks for sharing
the heart upgrade in 7:11 could be easily picked up by abusing the from taking damage and knockback yourself into the spike iirc, I fucked around and found out while going through this room lmao
i just wanted to come back to this comment and thank you for the idea of grabbing that early. turns out it is pretty useful getting more hearts available at the start of any% or 100%
For anyone curious as to why i'm still getting the "no damage" bonus on the boss fights, check this video: ruclips.net/video/OrDH-7ioXP4/видео.htmlsi=38kx5AsHvQKZLWjp
I wanna venture a guess without watching the video based on the two boss fights I've seen, just for fun. My thought: Even if HP is below max as the fight starts, if no damage is taken during the fight itself, you get the bonus?
I was skipping forward, but I want to ask for clarification: it looks like enroute to the Tower Bridge Heart Max Up from 40:20 to 40:38 you get hit along the way (which I always do, which stops me from finishing the air dash) long after the book attack stops, but you don't stop the air dash. Is this because of the Heavy Boots/no knockbacks card (a card I don't have yet in my own playthrough) and is this card the only way for casual players (i.e. unskilled at Iceless like me) to get this Heart Max Up?
you can use the heavy boots, bible or the meteor dash card to get through. heavy boots is just better for the speedrun overall so i've been running that route. note, with the meteor dash on you have to keep repressing dash to keep the hitbox active so you can destroy the flying enemies there.
@@spriventubeThanks. I'm only finding out about this game today, so I think I might play it. Seems to lean more into Metroid than SotN, and I'm all for the change.

What a beautiful game.
Wait. You definitely finished The Creature with less health than you had when you entered the arena. How did you get the no damage bonus?

Don't blame you for using the tools you're given, but heavy boots are the lamest item I've seen in these kid of games lol.
Looks like trash compared tot he original. The walk animation looks stupid, just looks like Simon is gliding across the floor.
