      Hi there,
      We hear you on subscriptions! Waves Stream is subscription-based because it's a live internet-based service, not just a plugin. It relies on a large network of servers that need to be maintained and scaled: Basically what this means, is that every time you use it, we pay for it. This means ongoing costs for us to ensure that your audio stream is always smooth and top-quality: It's all about providing continuous value and keeping the tunes flowing. 🎶💡

      @@waves Is it true that with the Mercury Bundle you get a perpetual license for Waves Stream?

    • @mistervid
      @mistervid 7 месяцев назад

      @@IMCIDR No, Mercury Bundle owners will not get a perpetual license, because Waves Stream is only available as a subscription. However: When you own Mercury *and* have an active Waves Update Plan (WUP), you will get access to Waves Stream at no extra cost. If WUP expires and is not renewed, then the access will expire. To say it differently, when you buy WUP for Mercury, a subscription subscription for Waves Stream is included as long as WUP runs.

    • @BosleyBeats
      @BosleyBeats 7 месяцев назад

      They don’t exist! You still need a maintenance plan (subscription) to prevent daw incompatibility

    • @mattrixx_audio
      @mattrixx_audio 7 месяцев назад

      @@IMCIDR You do have to have an active WUP as per getting the second license for Mercury, which is where the WAES Stream license is tied. (So no, it’s not perpetual) Fair enough, as in this case, it’s not just a sell it to the consumer and let them sort it. There’s a back end to maintaining and serving the tools, networking and required infrastructure for transporting 2:00 the Falcon. codec

      @mistervid 7 месяцев назад

      Oh, the subscription argument again ... How do you think Sender and Receiver connect without a massive server infrastructure in the cloud? Through thin air with invisible cables? Please, if you have the means to build a worldwide server infrastructure capable of handling tens of thousands of streams in realtime while also connecting the systems, for FREE then just do it and offer this service for a one time fee of 10$. I am sure everyone will be onboard and you will be broke before you even sold 1 item.
      Why do you think Amazon is thinning out its Alexa team? Because the costs of maintaining the infrastructure is way too high without any recurring fees - which is by the way a reason why Amazon has shut down their Echo Connect service worldwide and moved emergency calling to a subscription model.

    2 BIG negatives on this plugin,
    1- you can only stream to 1 person at a time,
    i need to stream this to 2 or 3 people at same time, as my client has multiple employees who'd like to listen and collaborate
    2- the mic is only 1 way, only sender can talk to receiver, the receiver has to be on telephone, or another app to talk to sender, (Assuming receiver does not have a DAW)
    add these 2 much needed features, and i'm sold, till then, i can't get onboard
