Please, if you have the means to build a worldwide server infrastructure capable of handling tens of thousands of streams in realtime while also connecting the systems, for FREE then just do it and offer this service for a one time fee of 10$. I am sure everyone will be onboard and you will be broke before you even sold 1 item. Why do you think Amazon is thinning out its Alexa team? Because the costs of maintaining the infrastructure is way too high without any recurring fees - which is by the way a reason why Amazon has shut down their Echo Connect service worldwide and moved emergency calling to a subscription model.

@@waves maybe a lite version that just syncs between your computer and your phone, so you can live test in the car. That's all a lot of people need, well it's what I need 🤣

Why Is there No Download ability From the Send app in the DAW to the Receive app in another DAW or a mobile Device!? the ability to send a stream and the receiver save it, so you can actually take it to the Car or Headphones for multiple listens...have a save and Play function on the receive app as apposed to relying on the sender to Play it...! If this Feature exists i cant find it.... otherwise a great Plugin....
If the listener wants to use Waves Stream inside the DAW, then he/she will need to purchase a subscription in order to use the Receive Plugin. On the other hand, everyone can listen to your stream with a browser on basically any device without any costs. So if the listener uses the browser, no subscription is required.

There is no way this is going to be perpetual, because there are recurring, ongoing costs associcated with the required server infrastructure for this to work. Since Waves is charged by third parties continuously, it would not make any economic sense to offer perpetual licenses.
Yeah this is direction of the entire industry. Even if you buy plugins outright, you have to buy “maintenance plans” to ensure the plugin remains compatible with the DAW after a year or whatever. It is what it is unfortunately
Can you send the wave to another daw for someone else to work on it in there system and them send it back to the first sender?like we transfer doese or like Dropbox does?

2 BIG negatives on this plugin, 1- you can only stream to 1 person at a time, i need to stream this to 2 or 3 people at same time, as my client has multiple employees who'd like to listen and collaborate 2- the mic is only 1 way, only sender can talk to receiver, the receiver has to be on telephone, or another app to talk to sender, (Assuming receiver does not have a DAW) add these 2 much needed features, and i'm sold, till then, i can't get onboard
Another stupid subscription service! Why can't you just charge per use or session? There are times when I would not mind paying a fortune, but I hate having to pay for stuff when I'm not using.
