  • In this video, I take you on a journey through Amouage Beach Hut Man, a fragrance that perfectly captures the essence of being a castaway from a ship wreck. Beach Hut Man opens with a refreshing burst of mint and citruses, evoking the crisp, clean air of a coastal retreat. As it develops, the scent reveals a heart of earthy vetiver and moss, complemented by woody notes of myrrh and patchouli, creating a sophisticated and grounded experience. I'll discuss its remarkable longevity, impressive sillage, and how it evolves on the skin, making it an ideal choice for those who love a fragrance that embodies both tranquility and rugged elegance.

Thank you for reviewing this lovely fragrance, the idea of the beach in the west especially in the United States. It’s something tropical it’s fresh. It’s fruity the smell of the ozonic, but it’s very different in the Middle East. I am Middle Eastern and I grow up by the beach this particular beach that we had a vacation home was very isolated. It’s not very commercialized or clean as matter fact there was a lot of wild bushes growing everywhere and when I smell this fragrance exactly reminded me how that beach smelled ! Very dry, very hot, very regal and the aroma you got from those dry bushes also come across as green and dry … when my wife gifted me this fragrance the moment I smelled it it instantly reminded me of me as a kid walking around that particular beach at 3 o’clock in the afternoon with 110°. Like you, Said , this fragrance is not for the pity boys. This is a regal manly man who does not care about complement or what people think of him.Or her

Excellent review. To me, it's a very 'humid' minty fougere with beastly projection and the first Amouage I think I ever wore on the regular. Tied with Bracken in my top 5 fougeres currently. Easily one of the most complimented from the brand too. But it's a very rich, warm and fuzzy scent to the point of being almost piercing. Definitely could be overwhelming like you said. That Killer Oud Cabana dupe nailed the opening, but fell apart after that. Beach Hut remains robust throughout and far more 'professional'. One of the best fragrances for a mature dude.

@@SeldomlyOften I had the chance to buy Bracken Man (after a long chase) from a popular discounter months ago for a relativelly good price (under 300 euros). Chances are, that there are more bottles out there somewhere. Anyway, the DNA is very similar to TF Beau du Jour or Orto Parisi Viride. Let's say it s a Amouage twist of the popular fougere style so it can seem redundant, expecially for the price. But being Amouage (if one loves the brand)... it's more a "want" than a "need"

  • @nkllazarevskilllll

This is my first Amouage full bottle purchase after having sampled about 15 of their perfumes and it was the best decision ever. I have received countless compliments since and people asking what I was wearing, even with just 1-2 sprays and after several hours of spraying - the projection and longevity is just out of this world. I totally agree that this is not what one would consider a 'beach' or 'summer' fragrance (no marine elements, I do not even smell any citruses here), and it can totally be worn in all seasons. I personally prefer it in late spring or early autumn. There is also something vintage about it, which I love and it gives the fragrance even more character.

I recently got a sample of this. WOW….this stuff is nuclear ☢️!! I don’t get any orange blossom in this or even a hint of sweetness. What I do get is an incredibly strong cloud of realistic freshly picked mint leaves and a ton of ivy, moss, and vetiver. This has to be the greenest fragrance I have ever tried. To be honest I would prefer if it had a bit of citrus or something to balance it out. Not in line with my personal taste (I.e. Tobacco, Incense, Oud, Resins, Spices, etc.), but truly amazing projection and quality. It’s a Green Battering Ram that will knock you on your A$$!! ⚡️

It's definitely not indicative of the beach. The name must refer to the hut itself. Wet, mossy wood. An overgrowth of ivy. A thatched roof of island vetiver.

I remember sampling BHM for the very first time and trying to figure it out, thinking of its name. What I imagined is I was walking on this wild beach and the only evidence of human presence is an old wooden hut that's been claimed by nature through high humidity and winds, covered in green, bitter weeds, and surrounded by mint bushes which I'm crushing in my hands to get a better feeling of freshness in this peaceful, almost desolated place.

This was one that I was hesitant to try when I visited the boutique at first, because of the heavy mint and also I was setting my sights on the darker heavier scents for that visit. However my girlfriend revisited the boutique recently and tried among the other more refreshing offerings and it actually sounds like something that I would really enjoy. As I mentioned before, I'm looking for something that has a really good and effective cooling effect and my initial thought was to go for a very juniper berry heavy route, but maybe something with a huge blast of mint could be the one for me haha!
I've seen some rumors and soft confirmations online that this one may also be getting discontinued unfortunately. There was a person on fragrantica that just mentioned that they got an email from a UK representative saying the manufacturer has discontinued it. It's still at my boutique over here in the USA, but I fear they may be starting to phase it out. I'll do my best to try it out soon and see if it's special enough for me to grab before it's gone 😢

I appreciate that the mint forward accord isn't in the spearmint, chewing gum or toothpaste realm like I associate Enclave with -- maybe the ambery base and sweetness attributes to that feeling for me.
I also tried portrayal Man, and I might like that one a bit more than beach hut -- they're not very similar to one another aside from being big green experiences, but there is still a fresh, cooling, almost sinus-clearing aspect of the gasoline association that the heavy dose of violet leaf and cade oil brings. I might place it somewhere in between reflection and beach hut if that makes sense; a bit of a soapy clean floral nuance but a very green and vetiver base. Some people also get a bit of a gin or clear liquor vibe, so maybe some of the unlisted notes may also be a mint, juniper berry, or medicinal leaning patchouli. @@yazeerarafath3475 Huh, Black Iris is a heavy beast, not really sure how it would fare for the average person in summer. I’m the kind of guy that wears everything, everywhere but I try to give recommendations considering a western perfume taste and approach. In other cultures things vary a lot: in the Middle East you can wear a super heavy scent in the deep of summer and no one will bat an eye.
