      I am currently building that testimony. It's hard! lol But it's worth it just to see the good hand of our GOD upon your life. To know that HE has called you, HE has equipped you, and for any Kingdom vision HE has ordained, there is PROvision.

      Yes, when foster care adoption seemed to fail with our son(he was 13), he would call me randomly from stranger phones. “Hey, mom, how are you doing? Gotta go!” and I knew the story wasn’t finished. We went through the whole training process to adopt our son ( same one) again. We adopted him and the Lord took him home after five years in our life. It was messy and beautiful at the same time. He was the Lord’s child.

    God makes me wait for everything too. But what I have learned is that waiting pays off and I am always glad I did. When I finally get what I waited for it's always the best of everything. He makes it speak volumes in my life.

    I would like to say- adoption of older children through foster care is usually covered by the state. If you feel called to adopt- please seek out your local foster care agency. And remember the older kids.

    we have final custody of my husband's cousin's child. we've had him since 5mo old and he's now 7 years old. fear and lack of resources, and a bio dad whos crazy have stopped us from moving forward with the adoption. honestly, none of these things are too difficult for the Lord. Im grieved we havent taken this step yet, but i am encouraged by your story. In the meantime, our child knows Jesus, knows who he is and is so secure in his place in our home and our love for him. its a beautiful thing!

    “When something is the Lord’s and He’s asked you to do it-Every door is open for you to do it” 15:22 This made me pause for a looooong time. I am not looking to adopt, but I am believing God for supernatural provision for my birth children. Wow.

    God has moved in many ways throughout my life. Always on time all the time. Its not always pur time but He is always there just the same. I've been watching you and it's really helping me rethink things/ changing my mindset so to speak. I love singing and worship but I haven't been obedient about how to really go about it. Right now it's where ever I'm at. In the house, in my vehicle etc.., I've seen how you have been doing it and it feels right concerning me and how it would look like. Thank you and God bless you.

    Yessss! That is me at this very season. My journey with a child on the spectrum at this age has been the hardest but God has been faithful even when I get so overwhelmed and upset with him. I have come to him with full surrender and well Lord I need you to step in because I know I have this son for your Glory and I need help. Yet he sure has stepped in! 🙌🏻😭🥹💕💙

    Again. With the wrecking. I had my only child at age 41. I did not parent as a believer. Your words so resonated with me - and the effect on my son are so apparent. And yet, God healed me after my divorce, and now having conversations with my son at age 26? they are hard conversations. They are good conversations. Lots has been lost. But I hold hope for restoration and redemption. Again, your words convict and at the same time bring hope and healing. I want to be mentored by you. I know you would not consider it because you mentor up and coming worship artists. That is not where I am in life, and yet I so want to leave behind a piece of my heart in my writing to my son and to his wife, and ultimately to their kids. I'm just a bit obsessed, but all in a good way. I am so glad I found your podcast. It has refreshed me, and I share it with literally everyone I know. Like, I might be annoying my friends .... hhahhahahah

    This was very moving, and I loved the ultimate truth, brought forth, and I could identify on a different level. However, where is that verse that you quoted from Isaiah “for its in faithfulness that I bring forth justice?“ what translation did you get that from or did you paraphrase it from? ….What verse?

    In the past, I've seen single women adopt, but they were all missionaries in dire situations: Amy Carmichael of India, Katie Davis Majors in Africa, and Lydia Prince in Israel. I know you felt uniquely called to this and believed your husband would show up soon. I just hope people don't feel encouraged to see this as the norm. I'm seeing the effect of feminism online and many young women declaring their intent to have a baby without a man, believing the lie that fathers are optional and dispensable. I found some stats on this huge trend:
    Based on data from the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS), singles made up about 28% of all parents adopting from U.S. foster care in 2017-2019.[14] For comparison, estimates for single-parent adoption in the 1970s range from 0.5% to 4%.[15]

      You could always pray for more men, in or seeking relationships that will adopt? 😉

    • @Rachandjesus
      @Rachandjesus 4 месяца назад +6

      I think you will find there are far more kids needing adoption than couples positioned/willing to adopt. The single parent home may not be ideal but in this context it is a far better outcome for the child than some of the alternatives.
      I hear what you are saying about deliberately birthing a child into the world with the intention of being a single parent though.

    • @RCGWho
      @RCGWho 4 месяца назад

      @Rachandjesus I think there are plenty of foster children needing adopting. I wish more childless couples would be open to adopting them. I know people want babies, but as terrific as babies are, it really is just a blink of an eye and they are toddlers!
