What bad behavior have you experienced in the Church and what has your response been to it? How have you/are you healing from it?

I left the church because there was too much competition and enmity , rivalry instead of brotherhood . Praying about the right church for me where I’m fed and God can develop my fruits and maturity in his love .

When a believer opposes they are accused of having an evil spirits. The fear causes silence. I’ve seen this 3 times the last few months. I was going to say a women but honestly this happens to men as well.

And then instead of assisting in freedom .. isolation is applied.

well Christians are capable of anything, because we still have free will, I do think people put too much trust/faith/emotional reliance one people. I got kick out of a church ( was the worship leader about 28 years ago) because I saw false doctrine and the pastor didn't like being challenged. I learned not to value relationships in spite of bad doctrine, I moved on and God opened other doors. Everyone is different some have a hard time to move on, others like my self just consider the source and move on. I don't hate anyone in the old church ( they closed the doors and moved out of state).

When the church does not disciple us properly, ABBA Fathers us directly , making us only go when led . Our Pastor was run over by a truck . And others attacked and taken home . Grey cars on grey roads are set to take us out at times . As there not as visible. We must be aware the devil prowls around , easpeacially if we are a threat , in these last days . Even church members can be under the devils sway . We must pray 🙏

Beautiful! I was an a very bad church…I didn’t even realize until I left due to the military. I’m in therapy now and God is still working it out of me. I think it’s subtle, abuse and when you come from a broken background, they use it against you. But it’s so subtle and over time you don’t realize it. I’m so grateful that God moved me. Took about 3 years to finally go back to church, and through every encounter I’ve been receiving healing. I can feel the LORDs love through them and they don’t even know what I’ve come from. A healthy church vs unhealthy is like day and night. But it has helped to be more aware on how I treat others and what not to be like.

Thank you for addressing this Rita !! I’m praising God , it’s about time for this to be dealt with . Church is not a club house , it is the place his children come to worship we should stay humble and kind towards one another and reference Gods house and spirit . 🥺🤨 I left church because of this . I have church with God everyday like so many other children of God . The devil is trying to move in the church in this area causing fleshly works and idols to be lifted instead of Jesus . It’s a plot , let’s expose it and bring the church back to God for his glory the way it should be a care system filled with love kindness and forgiveness. 🙏🥰

So elegantly said Rita. Thank you for this raw and authentic live.
Your in depth explanation on why we need to shift our spiritual paradigm in regards to mercy and not living and staying, and moving from a place of pain.
Remove our baggage Lord and aide us in our unpackimg of the old, as we make way for the brand new!

Wow!! Thank you so much for this. As someone doing my best to lead other leaders I needed these words to help articulate my own frustration as well as help others in my “Deborah”/Mothering role.
Appreciate your vulnerability so much and using this video as a resource to encourage and start healing conversations. ❤

This is outstanding!!!!! Some in the Church have made holiness and purity relative to their situation or to circumstances, when in fact purity and holiness are meant to draw us closer to the One we love, to make us content with and within ourselves, to impact others for the Kingdom and to walk in true freedom in Christ. Some in the church have labeled purity and holiness as “religion” (which it has been and can still be). However, spiritual purity and holiness is biblical. As a spiritual mother/grandmother (72 yo) in the Church, I have been interceding in love for years for the younger ones, while living out the Bible calls us to. Some of the younger ones are beginning to listen. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Thank you so very much for raising up your voice to call us all to a deeper walk with Jesus. It will make a difference. Also, I have never seen before what you brought out re Jonah and his stuff. Excellent!!! God bless you, Rita. I have been listening to your podcast since it began. I’m so grateful!

I love the Church but I hate the “religious spirit” that is often found in the Church. Jesus was the most critical of the Pharisees! Be the light…aggressively push back on the darkness! Be humble and real and set of an example of what you want to see.

Thank you!! For allowing Holy Spirit to lead you to be who you are.. Your heart, your thoughts, and the spiritual honesty you bring. Thank you for stepping out bravely to speak of these things no one is willing to talk, things from many places within us that make many feel like we are utterly alone... In a world of superficiality and shallow ministry, thank you for being YOU and allowing Holy Spirit to use you un such a beautiful, truthful and way.

I have been "church hurt" in every single church I've ever been in for the 43 years I've been a born again believer. At 65 I am not attending "church" because I'm trying to figure it out. It's me!

We must look to God not people that’s what’s wrong with the church , we make idols instead of knocking them down to worship the one true king .

  • @jenniferrowan3902

Also, I had a Pastor tell me you can always tell who is called to ministry and those that are just vocational. You can tell those that have mercy and compassion for people or those that want a position and praise.
I was an atheist until my mid thirties. Never had been in church, didn’t know simple Bible stories. I’ve worked in a church, worked in corporate America… corp america was easier to be a part of. So maybe I just see things others don’t.
Let me say I would want to be any other place than with the Lord and the church. I’m grateful for it all. Like a family though you have to address the broken to get to the other side. Silence is darkness… I read the word now the lord has increasingly given me an unrest. I believe he will do good things with that.

Not just in worship , in all areas , But remember also the gift is without repentance even if that one is in sin .

Because people are fundamental sinful. Just because you've accepted salvation doesn't mean your character has fundamentally changed.

Historically speaking Jonah didn't want to go to Nineveh because the sin, or one of the sins of Nineveh was taking the prophets and actually flaying them to death.
Jonah was like: I'm not up to dying in that way.

I have a spiritual daughter who I’ve walked with through her healing and commitment to purity for the past 10 years who is now sleeping with the man she wants to marry… I have talked to her but she says she’s not convicted. I have to love her and let her go but it’s very hard. Trying to walk in Truth and Love…🤍🤍🤍
