Excellent video. No fuss, no faff, just informative and not distracting. These videos are about safety first and foremost, not entertainment. Good job Emirates. 👍
Simple & straight to the point! Any new fliers will easily understand. Those 10 min safety videos with dances and random background by some airlines are crazy.
But the old one is great. Your Cabin Crew will now pass through the cabin carrying out the final safety check. Enjoy your flight with Emirates. When I listen my tears came out it is nostalgia for me
Since Dubai is a gatepoint to the world as my airport has barely any foreign airlines, I can relate to this, as for a long time I had flown by Emirates, even boarding on its A380 once, I hope the old ICE video is up and running.
This is what we need in safety videos, just like the one JAL have been using for a long time! Thats how the passengers knew what to do when that accident in Haneda happened January 2nd.
@Ronald-lx5fr Everyone survived, no one brought their luggage out of the plane, and only 3 emergency exits were deployed with one at a steep angle due to the incline of the collapsed nose. The flight deck didn't know there was smoke until after around 8 minutes from impact so the crew operated flawlessly with the compromised situation. Idk what your point is.

Emirates got it right. This is THE safety video, simple and comprehensive which it should be. Not like other airlines who would literally make long 6-minute safety videos which are distracting and more of a promotion than emphasizing safety.
This is the best demo I have ever seen. I travel frequently on major airlines, and Emirates is my absolute favorite; they know how to make things better.
I mean, Air India was representing their culture, and they did it really well by incorporating traditional dances. Its not boring and people would actually like watching it.
Brilliant!!!!! 🎉 finally a new safety video after a super long time. The new video has a relaxing background music and how the flight attendants spoke were in a very calm tone. This is a safety vid which also is very welcoming and soothing to the ear. I’m gonna miss the old safety video otherwise that begins with a tune and a “marhaban bikum” or the “Welcome aboard, we’re about to show you…..” 😅😅
Nah man the old B777 safety video is the best, why this? 😭😭 Edit: this actually hits hard when you are flying with them, the BGM saved this safety video!
it might be hard to move on but this new masterpiece is still amazing and yes the ons one refreshes my memories flying to so many countries and we will create more memories with this one
GREAT WORK EMIRATES! I do appreciate your NO nonsense safety video as much as I love other airline humour on safety videos BUT to be honest safety video should be NO NONSENSE and you guys did a good job!
Surely I like theatrics with airline safety videos, but Emirates really took the simplest and straightforward route. Surely getting passengers engaged into the safety message is helpful, but this is practically a breath of fresh air. Good move! (In fact, it should be mandatory for a safety video like this to play before a more theatrical or engaging one like other airlines… as an attention test.)
I was just wondering about this in my recent Emirates flight, it’s been the same since my childhood. It most definitely is needing of an update so glad to see this.
Creative and innovative brings life to travel and aviation , Congratulations Emirates !!! Top notch safety video being delivered and what a brilliant idea to have the passengers be part of an amazing Airline 😍😍
The song and dance are mostly in safety videos to show off the airlines home countries culture, or just to gain your attention, and jokes are also to gain attention.
I‘m speechless. This has been the best video I‘ve recently watched at all! This one video is probably better than a lot of IFE content at other airlines 😂 Thank you Emirates for creating experiences ❤
Exactly what safety video should be like. Easy to understand & visualise what the feature actually looks like in real life. Can you imagine one of those fancy dancing video / culture showcasing promotional safety video style for first time fliers? They must be like. Wait what? ….
Impressive safety video from Emirates !!! In addition to prohibiting smoking during the flight, Emirates should also prohibit passengers from verbally abusing cabin crews or behaving violently that compromise the safety and comfort of both crews and passengers. I hope to see that prohibition coming up in the next safety video. Only then we can fly better.
This is the video you might watch during your take-off, but not the video you might want to watch over and over again. Emirates probably don't need the extra PR coming from safety videos, but certainly for some airlines, their safety videos makes you wanna try flying with them, Air India for example, despite some not so good unpopular opinions regarding the company.
The shade at the beginning lol Personally, a funny or music safety demo, whether in video or practical form, is necessary to capture most people's attention. Otherwise, it'll likely be ignored or even forgotten. I could see celebrities being distracting.
